Florida: We'll take your trans kids in other states

I saw a breakdown of this in some commentary follow MTG's insane rantings about splitting up the red and the blue states, including putting a ban on people moving from a blue state to a red state from voting for 5 years after they move.

What the reality of such a proposal would be is that all the red states we have right now, need the blue states currently to subsidize them economically. All the wealth is the in the blues states, and without the money from the blue states, the red states would be essentially poverty stricken. So by all means, let the have what they want. That means less of blue state money for them, and more for us.

Bunch of dummies shooting themselves in the face, in other words. ;)
As I say, it will happen they will eventually think of California and how much they miss our nuts.

You'll just have to make the world more wonderful in your current corner of it. :)

Well, I painted my house gaudy colors... not sure what else to do.

But I appreciate these sentiments. Sometimes its the best any of us can do...

It's worth it if you ever get the chance to leave. Life's better when people aren't regularly broadcasting their disapproval and disliking of you and telling you to leave.

Its weird here... I feel the state government has become a hot mess, but on a day to day level, its not that I feel anyone disapproves of or dislikes me here... its like I don't exist. Like no one exists. Iowans have become developed a very "leave me alone" attitude over the last decade or two. Its a great place to be an introvert. Not so much if you're not introverted.

Someone I know was comparing where she lived in Minnesota and here. She said there's generally more social events held in Minnesota, and.... people actually socialize at them. You could hold the same event here, and people might go, but no one would talk to each other.

The majority have voted for fascists like DeSantis.

So? Doesn't mean that a significant number of Floridians oppose DeSantis. They may not be the majority, but these folks are Floridians too.

Florida ain't so bad. They didn't create De Santis. DeSantis emerged from the cultural fog of demographics.

Wow. That's definitely not Indiana or the rest of the MidWest I've seen. Here in California people basically leave you alone but there's no shortage of gatherings large or small. Indiana they seriously need to learn how to mind their own business amd quit being so damn nosey. I fully agree with those here who think that idea of friendliness comes off as being an intrusive jerk. (I often make fun of Indiana with native born Californians who've been there).

You mean tell them to their face that they are straight and rejected? Hehe. I didn't want to spoil their pathetic secret.

Okay so in other words, you've spoken to none about it. Right. As I thought.

Next time, maybe ask people about themselves before you make silly assumptions about them. Because what you've said about us is ridiculous and not true.
