Actually I think modern antisemitism is the result of the New Testament.

It seems the Bible is often used as an excuse for antisemitism.
I don't know it that is the real reason though or just an excuse.

I have a hard time believing Jewish People in, say, France are less safe than in Israel. Except perhaps if we are talking about some ghetto situation, but I am not aware of any.

I think reform needs to start with education and better living conditions, which is going to take the removal of current governments. No easy task.

I think you hit on another issue of political movements and actions becoming synonymous with antisemitism. I was going to mentioned the obvious different views of Israeli and the problems these causes. However the article is good enough.

Apostle Paul was persecuting the Hellenic Christian Jews and even saw to the stoning of Stephen their religious leader before he had his come to Jesus moment.
