Global warming

Just wait till climate change makes whole regions uninhabitable. Billions may die, and billions more climate refugees would flood the world. Within regions there'd be raiding by gangs. Habitable countries would arm themselves against them -- and each other.
We may reach two billion sooner than we expect. :(
"Climate Refugee" is just another Left Wing buzzword to put a positive spin on illegal immigration.

It definitely has a track record. The startup costs and liability on a new reactor can be daunting. I still love black oil and black coal!
Nuclear fusion supposedly just made a breakthrough. Should only be a matter of time until that is implemented as a main source of power. No nuclear waste to deal with, and basically free energy.

Sounds nice but I’m afraid it’s a pipe dream

You do realize whether a day is 15, 24, 30 hours, the sun shines on earth every second of every hour.

Shorter days would not be less sunlight on earth.
Longer days would not be more sunlight on earth.
You would have to speed up the rotation of the earth for a 18 hr day, instead of 24. Only Adonai can do that. Besides it says in the Torah there will be seasons of heat and cold.
So maybe we don't have climate change, and the earth is responding to the laws of Adonai?

That was made Aug 2023.
Just published this month.

Tell me how if the day was 15 hours, how that would be less sunlight on earth.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. If you were twirling a marshmallow on a stick over on open fire. The faster you twirl it the more time it takes to heat the marshmallow. The slower you twirl it and if your not carful your marshmallow will burn.

It only takes common sense to know the sun shines on earth every second, twirling faster only shortens the day one will experience, it doesn't shorten the amount of sun hitting earth.

Wind and solar power are the most unreliable. However, nuclear power maybe an
interesting option. The cheapest energy is not the best energy. The smart money is on black energy.
The wind is always blowing somewhere. The Sun rises every day. They are far from unreliable, one merely has to work with their limitations.

And yes, I do like nuclear power as well. It is mostly ignorance that prevents the building of new plants.

Look like common sense and intelligence is in short supply on this forum. My 8 yr old understands this concept.

Nuclear fusion may not be feasible. I am not opposing future research, but until working plants can be built we need to concentrate on what does work. Solar and wind do work. Nuclear fission does work, though there is a very strong prejudice against it. Nuclear fission may be the "greenest" of all sources of energy since a single plant can generate huge amounts of energy. The waste is manageable. Though it may take the federal government to force certain areas to allow the storage of waste material. Or they could offer to pay various sites to store materials. Given enough money they could put it in my back yard.
