If tens of thousands are actually being abused, shame on the people who called themselves Christians.
But you're either missing, or dodging the point. If two examples of teachers "sexualizing children" is an indictment against the US education system or public school teachers in general, by the same token (and to a much, much larger degree) the tens of thousands of cases of kids being groomed and abused in Christian settings is an indictment against Christians and Christian institutions, is it not?

And why do you think that it is only "two examples"? Is it that you are missing or dodging the point? Did you double check to see if it is more systemic? Or do you naturally just close your eyes and say "It isn't happening... it isn't happening... it isn't...."

That's what you've offered in this thread. So now we have to ask....if you truly are concerned about protecting kids from grooming and abuse, why are you so focused on public schools, but not on Christian settings?

Bigger picture-wise, what exactly is your point here?

With you whitewashing of what definitely was "over the line", one can only wonder whether concern for children is even your radar. ;)

Throw something up on another thread about Christian setting... happy to comment but straman attempts don't work with me :)

listen to the article. If you can't figure it out... not much I can add.
Is it because they did a silly pose like this?

I thought libs were supposed to be the snowflakes.
Are you sure this deserved a thread?

I've done no such thing. Again, what exactly is your point here?

Nope, I've fallen for that before. Again, what exactly is your point here?
The issue is quite clear for those who understand the problem. Some choose to shut their eyes and say there isn't a systemic problem.

History has shown that a child is far, far more likely to be exploited or abused (sexually or otherwise) in a Christian institution than at a public school.
Blanket statements with no supportive documentation is not a point.

PS

So I decided to google. Interestingly enough:

And the Catholic Church, with all of its abuse notoriety (which happens in any group), apparently is safer than public schools by 100%

What I have found is that when something is not what one wants to hear, they usually attack the messenger. ;)

Well, I don't attack you.
I am simply telling you the following that is not unique to you whether you have learned to search or not in an objective way. Some people can't use Google objectively for some types of searches.
As for this thread, I really don't care in practice as it is about the USA.

Perhaps it was your presentation or my reaction to what usually happens, sorry. I Probably looked at it skewed.

The poster simply made a blanket statement with no supportive documentation. I simply googled and it came up. The study was made for the US Department of Education - was there a reason why I should doubt its content?
