"Allah gives His promise and honor to the one who forgives and the one who behaves humbly for the sake of Allah; and generosity never decreases anyone's riches."
A man was reciting Surat Al-Kahf (chapter 18 of the Qur'an) and his horse was tied with two ropes beside him. A cloud came down and spread over that man, and it kept on coming closer and closer to him till his horse started jumping (as if afraid of something). When it was morning, the man came to the Prophet, and told him of that experience.
The Prophet said, "That was As-Sakina (tranquility) which descended because of (the recitation of) the Qur'an."
(Sahih Al-Bukhari - Volume 6, Book 61, Number 531)
"One who desires chastity, Allah makes him chaste; One who wants contentment, Allah makes him contented; and the person who aspires for steadfastness, Allah bestows steadfastness upon him.
No one has been awarded a bounty better than patience and submission."

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said he knew a verse that would suffice men if they would but apply it:

"Should you come across some mishap, do not say: "Had I only done this and that things would have turned out so and so; but say only Allah so determines and did as He willed." Because the Phrase; "Had I" only opens the gates of evil conduct."
"O' People! Spread the greetings of peace, feed (the poor and needy), behave kindly to your relatives, offer prayer when others are asleep, and (thus) enter Paradise in peace."
