Ima ask these questions but I dont want you to tell me what you believe. I know what you believe.

Lover, you said all of humanity has the same lover and expresses it differently. This love is one-truth. You dont separate expression from truth.

Let us take love.

:leafwind: My expression IS my truth.

If we share the same truth, my expression would be the same as yours.

You discard my truth.

Describe my love independent of my expression.

Do you understand all you said are traditions?

Traditions are practices and beliefs held down and passed down by generation.

It can be from god or from man.

What is wrong with Word tradition?

Yes of course. And many of our traditions are the same as other religions. Not all but many. But not all beliefs come from the Holy Books so we call them man made and they are usually the ones that end up causing hatred, wars and prejudice but most of the traditions are good.

So you think those who practice perfect ahimsa are no different than those who commit violence and war crimes?

No but most of those murderous thugs believe that what they are doing is just. You and I don't, but they do. Maybe a simpler example will illustrate it ... You live in Australia, I live in Canada. Doe that fact not illustrate something about our POVs in politics, etc?

Thank you. Nice and simple. I want to ask again. Do you understand me that there is no separation?

Separation causes wars. It depreciates other people and their truth. Cant you see the damage that is doing?

We understand that when man's will is contrary to God's laws and ways then problems and things like wars break out. God only teaches to love and accept not to hate and kill.

So where do religionists get the idea to have wars with each other? Through some traditions that are not founded on the Word.

Yes but our people have two choices. To look at what we have in common and work together or allow our differences be a cause of prejudice and ill feeling.

We would prefer to look at what we have in common and just accept our differences as diversity.

So the Vaishnavites view Krishna similarly to how Baha'is view Krishna?

Did a quick search for relevant links to better research the two branches as they sound like major divisions of Hinduism in their own right.

Śaiva - Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia

Shaivism - Wikipedia

Vaiśnava - Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia

Vaishnavism - Wikipedia

I could be vey busy reading. I already have a mountain of paperwork to clear at work!:)
I don't know much about the view of the nature of God manifested. I do know for sure that Vaishnavites believe that Kalki is yet to arrive, and that Bahai's believe Baha''u' llah is Kalki, and that several other individuals and groups believe their prophet is the second coming, including Kalki.

Of course, in Saivism, we don't believe in manifestations of this nature at all, so the whole idea is irrelevant to us.

Yes, Hinduism is vast. A parallel in vastness would like be Judaism, Islam, and Christianity combined.

Oneness and equality of religion and humankind is what we believe.
Yes I know, and we don't. We believe in Brahman which might be similar to your 'Oneness' in some way. But I said 'might', and I'm not sure. As for equality, no. They're definitely not equal. The dogma varies, the philosophy varies, the numbers vary, just so much varies. Are you saying Australia is equal to Canada?

Not necessarily. We both may be thirsty and I may choose to have a glass of water and you a bottle of coke. The thirst was the thing in common but the expression was different. The point is we both had the same thirst that needed quenching but quenched it with different drinks.

I have no ill feeling. Where did you get that idea? I hold no prejudice against Bahai or Islam or Christians ... unless they come into my house (In societal terms this mean aggression towards us, like conversion tactics)

Equality in our understanding doesn't mean sameness or identical. So you are a Hindu and I am a Baha'i but where we should be one is in the way we treat each other.

When we talk about the oneness of humanity it means we want everyone to receive equal rights and be treated with dignity and humanely despite our differences.

If you didnt include say christianity in your faith, Id understand. Christianity isnt contrary to god yet you disregard their traditions as if it does.

Going by their scripture, why is their scripture based traditions wrong? How does doctrine cause wars?

Not people but he teachings and practices themselves?

No. Im sayong my thirst IS my bottle of coke. I dont separate the two in this analogy.

How is my truth yours when my expression is my trutb ans you say we all share the same thirst?

There is nothing in the Gospels that would make Christians go to war with each other but they did so all I can conclude is they didn't get that tradition to go to war from Christ or the Gospels.

There have been so many religious wars based on what? Someone has duped a lot of Christians to fight along with them using religion as a pretext when in reality if you go to the actual book you will find it says not to kill.

Baha'is would bring them to justice using the courts. That is what courts are for. We wouldn't pay like with like. No revenge. We would allow justice to take its natural course. It's for the community to seek justice but Baha'is must forgive.

Yes, I would agree with this method, but difficult in today's world.

That's impossible. A bottle of coke is a drink, an outward expression of your thirst just like the water with mine but we both experienced thirst.

Your saying the painter and the painting are one and the same which is impossible. If that were true, the painting would have painted itself and we all know that's not true as an artist did.

I wasn't speaking about you personally I meant that as an example. You are all ahimsa and I have great admiration for that. But I want to know more about did you say Brahma?

I've learnt about some of the major sects thanks to you but isn't Brahma God? Is Brahma God as in everything or God as in a personal God which some Hindus I read believe in?
