[ I have one question ]

Hello everybody

my question is : is jesus a god ?
The bible suggests we are all gods, so in one sense yes.
Further to many Christians Jesus is THE God.
To Muslims Jesus was a prophet.
To Jews, Jesus was nothing at all, if he even existed.
To Messianic Jews Jesus was the awaited messiah.

So what is your point of the question, you already know all of this?

It depends who you ask and from what sources you are asking. If you look at the Noble Qur'an, Jesus (as) was merely a righteous Prophet (indeed he was one of the greatest). If you look in the Gospel he was the son of God and God himself. If you look in the Torah... well it doesn't mention anything about him (that is what Jews believe. Christians believe that the "Old Testament" does indeed talk about him). And then there are Christians who, even they disagree (Jehova's Witness do not believe he is God)

Nope.

Jesus is God in the Koran, just as He is in the Holy Bible.

First of all, did you really just call out a Muslim on what the Quran says? Really? Because, I may not be a Muslim, but I have to say, when it comes to what the Quran actually says, I find it awfully hard to believe the Christian reader over the Muslim reader. You've studied the Quran? You speak Arabic? You have a broad and deep enough comprehension of Quranic literature to claim an interpretation that I have never, ever heard any Muslim scholar ever voice before? I am sure you'll pardon my skepticism, but...really?!

Second of all, let's be clear: Jesus is God in the New Testament. Jesus does not appear at all in the Hebrew Bible-- all written long before Jesus lived, written by Jews, for Jews, none of whom ever believed that a living person could be God.

John 14:28
YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.
Jesus acknowledged that he has a God, superior to him.

Nope. The 4 gospels do not say that the biblical Yeshua (Isa) ever saying he was a god, it wasn't something he taught nor was it something his followers thought of him.

While the 4 gospels do describe Yeshua having power and authority it in itself was something that "his" god granted him.

Jesus is the one and only true creator God of the Universe, brother.

Even the authors of the Koran knew this.

You are completely ignorant as to what the Quran actually says. Try and read the book before stating something you have no knowledge of.

This is what their Quran says.

Arberry (Translation)
Sura 3:50-52

Likewise confirming the truth of the Torah that is before me, and to make lawful to you certain things that before were forbidden unto you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear you God, and obey you me. Surely God is my Lord and your Lord; so serve Him. This is a straight path".' And when Jesus perceived their unbelief, he said, 'Who will be my helpers unto God?' The Apostles said, 'We will be helpers of God; we believe in God; witness thou our submission*.

*Note: The word at the end of that verse is (muslimoona) and should not be taken as they submitted to Isa (Yeshua). This becomes evident when reading the verses after this one.

You guys have to understand. Bowman is an old acquaintance from ChristianForums and he did the same thing over on their Non-Christian Religion board.

He uses a translator and for some reason believes that he knows classical Arabic and that Muslims throughout history just haven't been able to read better than him.

Just ignore him. He doesn't go away.

What's your point?
I am confused, in the Bible Jesus says the Father is far greater then he is and God is his Father. So is God the Father and Jesus one in the same? or seperate?

I cant believe with that >>????

god worships other god !!!!!!!

Well from a mythological and human standpoint who created god?

These are issues and I doubt people of abrahmic faiths would begin to understand but you have to admit through observation...where was this matter created from? And if this matter is so great then where did it come from?

Get my meaning?

We use to have a person here like that ("Apple Pie") was his name. I spent many months debating with him and his craptacular ability to read and translate classical Arabic. He did the same thing...telling those who spoke the language they had no clue how to read Arabic.

Truly sad......

He pretty much confirmed it.
