What would the "essence" be? He is Gods son and did his will perfectly. He said "If yove seen me youve seen the Father" showing that if God were in his place the exact same thing would have been carried out.How about maybe the essence of YHWH?

Assuming, no.Are you assuming that yours does?
And now there are all different sects of that church teaching different things. A diffetent teaching fro the Greek scriptures would mean they arent part of Jesus' congregation. In the 1st century, there was only 1 church that was created by Jesus and the Apostles.
The Urantia Book "rang true" to me from the first time I heard my dad read it out loud. We attended a Methodist church but dad was a closet reader of the UB.Hi everyone, I'm Jewish, and I'm here to engage in a respectful and open discussion about the role of Jesus Christ. As someone who doesn't believe in Christ, I hold the perspective that both Christianity and Islam have been orchestrated by God to spread monotheism.
Recently, I had a thought-provoking discussion with a spokesman from a Christian institute on youtube, and it led me to ponder how difficult to discern Christ's true nature without understanding Hebrew.
Just for the sake of discussion, if Christ wasn't the Messiah, what was he?
I do apologize if anyone is offended, but I think we should have an open, respectful, and tolerant discussion about anything.
I look forward to hearing different perspectives and engaging in a thoughtful exchange of ideas.
121:7.12 The Mediterranean Roman Empire, the Parthian kingdom, and the adjacent peoples of Jesus' time all held crude and primitive ideas regarding the geography of the world, astronomy, health, and disease; and naturally they were amazed by the new and startling pronouncements of the carpenter of Nazareth. The ideas of spirit possession, good and bad, applied not merely to human beings, but every rock and tree was viewed by many as being spirit possessed. This was an enchanted age, and everybody believed in miracles as commonplace occurrences." UB 1955 no copyright.1. The philosophic reasoning of the Greek proselytes to Judaism, including some of their concepts of the eternal life.
2. The appealing teachings of the prevailing mystery cults, especially the Mithraic doctrines of redemption, atonement, and salvation by the sacrifice made by some god.
3. The sturdy morality of the established Jewish religion.
OK, thanks for clarifying that you don't believe in Jesus' Two Commandments and what Jesus said about his Church that he said he would not abandon. You also ignore the fact that Jesus gave the Apostles and their successors the power to make some changes as the world would not always stay the same. And now there are all different sects of that church teaching different things. And yes, absolutely, we are to know them. Part of knowing someone is to know their name. Knowing someone is also not putting characteristics on them that arent true...Like Jesus is Yhwh.
that is newsThe virgin birth came from Pagan mythology. Jesus didn’t teach it and he was known as a normal person up until his public teaching at 30+ years old. Jesus was their first born and conceived the “natural way” between two married parents. The miracle of miracles was the Son of God becoming the person of Mary’s baby “at conception”.
Jesus also had siblings.
There were more than 2 commandments. Those were the top 2. Dont put words in people's mouths or assume anything, it only makes you look foolish.OK, thanks for clarifying that you don't believe in Jesus' Two Commandments and what Jesus said about his Church that he said he would not abandon. Do ypu really thing Jesus would back false worship? There were more than 2 commandments. Those were the top 2. Dont put words in people's mouths or assume anything, it only makes you look foolish.
Jesus said he wouldnt abandom his followers. The churches only claimed to follow him while they werent- they abandoned Jesus.
I get it. Jesus is your God. Even though he had a God?Is it true that Jesus is good? If so then He is YHWH.
Is it true that Jesus is exactly like His Father? If so then He is YHWH because nobody is comparable to YHWH.
Knowledge is not important compared to love of course, if we love we know God and are His children.
I didn't put any words in your mouth, and it is not I who is being foolish here. You've clearly not studied any serious theology because you keep on making one mistake after another. There were more than 2 commandments. Those were the top 2. Complete, unadulterated nonsense that turns Jesus into a liar by having him abandoning his promise.Jesus said he wouldnt abandom his followers. The churches only claimed to follow him while they werent- they abandoned Jesus.
I clearly said they abandoned him- he didnt abandon them. But if you need to leave....I didn't put any words in your mouth, and it is not I who is being foolish here. You've clearly not studied any serious theology because you keep on making one mistake after another.
To put it another way, Matthew 7[3] Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Complete, unadulterated nonsense that turns Jesus into a liar by having him abandoning his promise.
So, maybe do some serious studying and also drop the childish arrogance, then maybe we can have a serious discussion.
Until then, ciao.
John 6:42that is news
How does it conflict? Joseph didnt publicize that it wasnt his.John 6:42
They said, “Isn’t this Jesus, the son of Joseph? We know his father and mother. How can he say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”
From birth the community knew Jesus as a regular person and they knew his parents. This conflicts with the addition of an unwed mother having an immaculate conception.
In that age a women suddenly impregnated by God would stand out! Mary would have never doubted or questioned her son when he began his public teaching. How does it conflict? Joseph didnt publicize that it wasnt his.
I get it. Jesus is your God. Even though he had a God?
Jesus taught his followers to pray "Our Father let your name be sanctified".
