If "everything is energy" then what does this mean?

It must be like a lunatic asylum down there, all the rabbits shouting out their favourite pretentious proper nouns!

"Cosmic Consciousness"!

"No, Universal Consciousness is better!"

"No, Ultimate Reality is best!"

"No, you all believe in God really!"

Well, actually, we're all celebrating because we all now see them as the same Reality. The latest illumination came to us today: that of Sunyata and Hinduism being completely compatible, once you see beyond the apparent differences.

You are completely confused if you think that. Absolutes like Atman and Brahman are totally incompatible with sunyata.

Cliched nonsense. You are the one contaminating the present moment, in your case it's with a head full of new-age pseudo-Hindu beliefs. I doubt you have ever EXPERIENCED the present moment fully, you are far too busy preaching and posturing.

Shhhh! Listen! The sound of one hand clapping!

We are so very happy today. When the tension between them reached breaking point, then Bang!

It's not about tension, it's simply that Hinduism and Buddhism teach different things. Buddhism doesn't HAVE Atman or Brahman, and your attempts to smuggle them in through the back door are silly and pointless.

You're still attached to labels and concepts.

Really? Why are you the one with a head full of pretentious proper nouns then?

Make a fire, throw on your "Cosmic Consciousness" and your "Absolute Reality", watch them burn, liberate your mind!

Cop-out. I think the truth is that you posted the Tao reading to look a bit cool, and have no idea what it is supposed to mean.

I do, but it was posted in response to Runewolf's comment about something and nothing.

You thought it a cool piece? I think Chuang Tzu is very cool indeed. Here is a sample of his Taoist humor:

“The fish trap exists because of the fish.
Once you've gotten the fish you can forget the trap.
The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit.
Once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare.
Words exist because of meaning.
Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words.
Where can I find a man who has forgotten words? I'd like to have a word with him.”

I've been here for years, no one has presented anything. A lot of non-theists here, why nada?

There isn't necessarily anything to "present" in that sense. It's about letting beliefs go, not replacing them.

It begins with an honest self-appraisal, asking questions like "Why do I really believe in this?" and "Am I really seeking truth, or it more about wishful thinking, perhaps a need for comfort?"

There will always be assumptions of course, but those are not held tightly as articles of faith.
