Made in the Image

If man is made in the image of god, then shouldn't the search for god begin in the reflection of self?

Isn't God recreating self in the image of self?

This is why the idea of a soul being in sin is preposterous. The soul is an image of God. If the soul is sinful then God is sinful. This is preposterous.

“The greatest sin is to call yourself a sinner. You are a child of God. Though gold be covered with mud for centuries, it remains gold. So the pure ‘gold’ of the soul can be covered over with the mud of delusion for aeons, but in its true nature it remains forever undefiled.”
- Paramhansa Yogananda

That's preposterous. To believe you can just do anything and still be like God?
Do you see God in a cannibal? A pedafile?
There's many evil souls in this world.

No .. Almighty God is Holy, Pure, while we are not.
We can appreciate what it MEANS to be Holy.
We can appreciate what it MEANS to have unselfish love.

..but .. yes, you guessed it .. we are all sinners.
None of us are perfect, and we need to humble ourselves before God, asking for forgiveness.
Our souls are in need .. Almighty God has no needs.

God does not eat, drink, sleep or use the toilet.
God maintains electrons spinning around atoms .. without God .. nothing !

If that is what you believe than it will always be True for you.

I think with biblical religions (and this is just the seedling of idea here), there is possibly a fairly clear disjunction or bias against visual thinking, anyway. There is a problem with Moses looking at god, there is a problem making images of the divine, and the logos is something that the new testament says starts with the 'word.' This offset is what makes it difficult, therefore, to figure out what a 'soul' is, or perhaps what the 'reflections of the divine' are, as man is not allowed to build these things visually. The bible seems like it's built for verbal thinkers, instead

The angel seems like it cannot see much of itself, but instead can analyze everything around it. Perhaps it represents what the biblical man is supposed to meld down into, an organism where sight and the ability to survey become ultimate? It seems like it must be a visual thinker, it cannot even talk? I think it looks cuddly

No one said that anyone can do anything they want and there be no consequences or equal reaction.

The veil is placed between the mundane and the arcane. The problem for most is transcending it. What better place to hide it but where few would seek to look in the shadow of self. You can run, you can hide, but you can never get ahead of the self.

God created man out of mud and gave it God's spirit. It's a cover up. The revelation is to remove the veil.

The Spirit is the love given to be. Love washes it all away

Love is pure. Is perfect. With it comes light. The spirit is love. ❤️

Self is nothing but selfishness.
Only by the Holy Spirit can we transcend the evil of self will.

In theory..
The problem with that, is that God is omniscient, and He knows that satan will not repent. :(

We have been warned.

Not according to my Gods. They will feed your Soul to the wolf Garmr for eternity for disrespect, as the All-Father knows All.

You have been warned.
