Mexican cartels and Trumps wall

It's our fault for ignoring the issue for decades, while taking advantage of cheap Mexican labor when we needed it, then deporting tens of thousands when the need was no longer there. Your 'solution' is that of a simpleton, I am afraid. The problem goes much deeper than mere 'legality'. If you really want to educate yourself re: the background of the problem and how it came to be what it is, see here:

The Hispanic Experience - Stolen Birthright
It doesn't matter who's fault, the whole thing is they shouldn't be there in the first place, that bloody simple.

Look, get this right, they shouldn't be there, do you get that ??>

It's not that simple, dearie. Understand that, from the POV of the Mexican, the SouthWest is stolen land. He doesn't ultimately give a s**t what you think. As far as he is concerned, America is the thief and instigator of injustice both at home and in his country. Are you even aware that the US deliberately instigated war with Mexico, knowing full well that it would win via superior firepower, as a direct means of acquiring the SouthWest for the express purpose of slavery, and that when it did 'win', it then pushed the previous legitimate Southern border from the Nueces River 90 miles further south to where it stands today? As far as the Mexican is concerned, YOU are the interloper. Do you get that?

Yes yes, but again they shouldn't be there, let them stay in their own sticking place, and keep, their noses out of the USA, isn't that simple ?.

I wish it were. You are sadly mistaken, and are just trying to drive a square peg into a round hole. It's not that black and white. If it were, the problem would have been solved long ago. And yes, it DOES matter whose fault it is, sorry. The US has treated Mexico like trash for decades, and is now paying the price. It's called 'karma' where I come from. Are you aware, for example, where the derogatory term 'dirty Mexican' came from? Well, you see, when the 'heroic' Americans lost the Battle of the Alamo, the whites could not understand how this could be, since they were supposed to win, being the wonderful folks that they were. (In reality, Boone, Crocket, and Carson were notorious Indian killers). So the only conclusion the whites could come to was that the Mexicans MUST have used dirty, underhanded tactics to win. Hence, the term 'dirty Mexican', and this has fed the American racial mentality for decades in how it sees Mexicans. For a long time, it became 'wetback', and today has evolved into 'illegal alien'. When the recession came in the 80's, Americans became acutely aware of the Mexican worker, who knew how to make things work while the Americans were losing their jobs, thus fueling hatred and disdain for Mexicans even more.

So should Americans keep their noses out of Mexico, and stay in THEIR own stinking place too, when the fact is that the entire Southwest is NOT America's own stinking place? It was stolen land, understand? You can't just dismiss that, and then turn around and deport tens of thousands because you say 'they don't belong here', especially when Americans exlpoit their labor. Use them up and then discard them like so much trash, eh? Do you see the problem with your legalistic approach? You're not dealing with used up material goods.

No comprendo your silly solution. It won't work like that. But you have too much to learn, don't you? You want to discard people like garbage and be done with it, like surgically excising a cigarette burn from a table.

Please don't be arrogant with me,its wont work.

It is YOUR arrogance and simple-mindedness that is not working. It is the height of arrogance to think you can use people up for decades as you wish and then simply discard them like so much garbage. You think you are so clever, but you have no understanding of human relations, because you don't see them as human, or worse, because you are not being human, or maybe because you are being human.

No, Americans can go back to Europe and stay in your own stinking place, and keep their noses out of Mexico. How about that? Then the Indians can put up a wall along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts to keep the Europeans out, yes?

I am not being clever in the least; all I have done so far is to present you with the bare facts, which you want to conveniently ignore, and blindly push ahead with your simple solution, which is no solution at all. All it accomplishes is to sweep the problem under the rug, and then to bury your head in the sand and think there is no problem. Get it through your head: the problem is on THIS side of the border, and that problem is the voracious and insatiable demand for Mexican drugs, which is fueling the cartel violence and drug trade. Or is that too difficult for a simpleton to fathom? Yes?

All of the cartel violence is along the border, because that is where the control amongst the various cartels is playing itself out. It is there because they want American money for their drugs, dig?

So what do you propose to do about the horrific American demand and addiction to heroin and cocaine and the other new varieties being created almost daily? How about your children? How will you protect them?

The real reason Trump is so eager to build his wall may very well be because he was miffed in a real estate business deal in Mexico It would be sad to think that such a wall gets built simply because of his personal hatred of Mexicans:

"The big question is whether his tirades against Mexico are part of a well-calculated populist campaign to appeal to the xenophobic feelings of angry voters, or whether he has a personal grudge against Mexico because of a bad business experience with a failed luxury condo project near Tijuana in 2009. It’s probably both, but definitely the latter is part of it.

Thanks to Twitter, which Trump has compulsively used in recent years to opine about almost everything, we can assume that at least part of his anger at Mexico stems from his business fiasco with the Trump Ocean Resort luxury condo hotel project.

The three-tower, 25-story luxury Trump Ocean Resort Baja Mexico condo-hotel project by the Trump Organization and the Irongate real estate company was originally announced in 2006. Two years later, the project ran into financial trouble, and Trump removed his name from it. By 2009, the project was effectively suspended, and angry investors sued.

In a Twitter post on Feb. 24, 2015 Trump wrote, “I have a lawsuit in Mexico’s corrupt court system that I won but so far can’t collect. Don’t do business with Mexico!”

Can a candidate who tweeted “Don’t do business in Mexico!” shortly before he launched his presidential bid have an open mind about U.S.-Mexican ties?"

Read more here: Is this the real reason Trump holds grudge against Mexico?

Aside from that, American real estate developers in Mexico have copped an attitude that 'we are going to show you Mexicans how to do it", which resulted in all of the Mexican realtors walking out of a meeting with the Americans.

The simplicity lies in the fact that we really do need Mexican labor, both in the US and in Mexico. What we really need to do is to finally begin treating our next door neighbor with some respect and share labor with them to create goods we both can use. But none of this is possible until America solves its own drug problem, and dries up the Mexican cartels.

But we have yet another major problem that is cropping up all around us within the country, and that is many unemployed Americans turning to processing and selling dangerous drugs all over the US. These entrepreneurs are brutal and ruthless. They make thousands per day, vying with one another for control of their turfs, many times ending in bloodshed.

Well get rid of the illegals who will do anything for money, build a better wall, and send those who break the law back where they came from so tax payers don't have to pay to keep them in prisons.

Yes that is a good idea, but do it legally, its that simple.

So what is your simple proposal, then, to fix the now deeply embedded drug manufacturing, distribution, and consumption problem right here in the US? You do understand that by cutting off demand, we cut off supply, don't you?

Why are you grouping the illegals with criminality? Some 'illegals' have been here for decades, have established legal businesses and families. They are good citizens and assets to our country. Do we send them back too?
