I just saw 9 over the weekend. Really good movie.

Just a warning: while the movie is animated, it's not really geared to kids, especially young ones. It's got a number of scenes that would be disturbing for children.

Still, a very powerful movie and worth seeing.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
i refuse to see Sherlock. other than the name, what the hell does it have to do with sherlock holmes? it'd be like making a film about ghandi and having him kung-fu the british out of india, actually that sounds kinda good, much rather see that than sherlock.

It was just fun.

The sets, photography, costumes, etc. were very well done, and I appreciated the art for what it is - art. It didn't matter to me whether or not the characters were true to the original stories.

If it matters to you, then no, you shouldn't go see the movie.

Just saw "The Lovely Bones" and it was a beautiful movie, very breathtaking visually, and also very poignant. Pretty true to the book as well. The main actress (who I have never seen before) was perfectly cast.

If you have 3-D glasses from the theatre, put them on when you watch. The movie isn't 3-D, but it might make watching it more interesting.

ha....

no I have a download of district 9...

it reminded me of early Peter Jackson....and soem dreadful long running australian soap.... pre young doctors and pre neighbors... although Mrs Mangle was in it...:areyoucra

That is so weird I was just thinking of the wedding cake episode the other day, my mother used to inflict that show apon us, if I heard the theme tune now I think I would curl up into a ball on the floor and weep hysterically

Mike Leigh's Naked

I really like david thewlis

Its only taken me 17 yrs to get around to seeing this lol

It stirred up the same kind of emotions as watching Von Trier's Anti Christ
although I have to say anti christ was the first film that made me wince for about a decade.
It was actually quite horrible, I doubt I'd watch it again.... a great piece of art

Naked is a strange film..the story drifter david thewlis...a kind of art flick that goes no where
I've yet to see Vera Drake...secrets and lies was so so

oh yeah watched the new Eddie Izzard documentary....

pretty darn good...my girl friend's more of a fan than I
I dot like comedy as a genre much, I find it to be mostly tiresome...

Eddie's story was interesting though...I honestly thought the tranvestite thign was largely a marketing ploy....apparently not. It was fun to see him actually perform about 10 miles from where I grew up in Frome, Somerset (UK)...

recommended if you're a fan

Brilliant film, but this and Life is Sweet are the only 2 films I really loved of Leighs, Secrets and lies was very sweet but an average effort.

I do like david thewlis mostly, but saw him in the worst version of Beckett's Endgame I have ever seen, ever :(
