quite a difference but certainly not zero... my point stands, there is no such thing as a completely secure border.East Germany
1945 - 1961: 3 - 3,5 million people
1961 - 1988: 40,100 direct escapes, 163,815 Escapes through other countries(for example hungary), 382,481 official permits and 29,670 ransomed by West Germany
I see quite a difference.
You must be kidding, or just a little confused.....Why would EGYPT secure the borders of "Israel"??? Don't you have enough soldiers to do this job, ah I know they can not do it, they can just go crazy behind Egyptian soldiers and shoot them even if it was a clear violation of Egypt's sovereignty, but why would they care about it? There is a peace treaty, so everything is okay!!!How about Egypt secures its borders so that no crazy people get into Israel to kill some jews?
I'm sure that Egypt's southern borders with Sudan, and western borders with Libya are quite secure....quite a difference but certainly not zero... my point stands, there is no such thing as a completely secure border.
Unless you have a moon colony that never receives outside contact.

Hi England,IMO it did play an important part,it exported the MB to Palestine along with Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it. (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory),what a visionary this Guy was.
Hi England,
I'm glad you didn't quote Sayid Qutb this time!

You know this type of arrogance drives many Egyptians to cancel this cold "peace treaty"...
I'm sure that Egypt's southern borders with Sudan, and western borders with Libya are quite secure....
Then why do you complain? in the recent year, shootings have taken place on Israelis travelling along the border and rockets have been fired from the Egyptian side into Israel. from YOUR side of the border. if Egyptian soldiers are not tasked with the job of securing your side of the border from terrorism then who is?You must be kidding, or just a little confused.....Why would EGYPT secure the borders of "Israel"???

I'm starting to wonder how all this time Egyptian soldiers were well capable of shooting defenceless Sudanese refugees who sought asylum in Israel, but have a harder times with people who pose a real hazard. all taking place in the same border.
one thing i don't understand, it seems that all those from israel seem to be worried about the peace treaty being put up for referendum? whats the worry?
if the people decide to nullify the treaty it's their choice, if it was israel putting it on referendum would you be complaining about it? i don't see anyone complaining about israel not making a peace treaty with the palestinians, why don't you make a peace treaty with palestine?
But its not Israel who plans to nullify the peace treaty, isn't it right?one thing i don't understand, it seems that all those from israel seem to be worried about the peace treaty being put up for referendum? whats the worry?

it's Egypt.
this peace treaty was signed with Israel handing to Egypt the entire Sinai peninsula, one thing that I don't understand is how easily Muslim members trivialise this fact and the signed agreement.
Really?! That wasn't your opinion in the previous post!I always thought that borders are shared. Now i realise that its a one sided affair.
I see your point which is a poor attempt to justify the "Israeli" arrogance but it is irrelevant! Then why do you complain? in the recent year, shootings have taken place on Israelis travelling along the border and rockets have been fired from the Egyptian side into Israel. from YOUR side of the border. if Egyptian soldiers are not tasked with the job of securing your side of the border from terrorism then who is?
Perhaps it was just the policy of the ousted regime of Mubarak who was an ally and a close friend to zionists so it is not strange at all...I'm not surprised though, that "Israeli soldiers" are unable to stop an attack they had prior knowledge about, because they are just trained on massacring women and babies, not only this but they lay the blame of their failure on others and give themselves the right to continuously raid on a neighboring country claiming to have a peace treaty with!!I'm starting to wonder how all this time Egyptian soldiers were well capable of shooting defenceless Sudanese refugees who sought asylum in Israel, but have a harder times with people who pose a real hazard. all taking place in the same border.
It seems that your government has a different opinionMaking a peace treaty with the "Palestinians" is not viable. Why should Israel? What benefit is it to them? Fatah and Hamas will not honor it, their goal is to eliminate the Zionist presence. It would be suicide for Israel to make a deal with the Palestinians. Have the current peace agreements been beneficial to Israel? No? Then why should Israel expect any further deals to be?
Who said that it means war? Egypt and "Israel" are not ready for such a step, but if your government wants war, so be it!As for the Egyptian referendum, if they do away with the peace treaty, that means they want war and don't want peace. Nothing else..
LOLIf they do away with it, Israel should start buying B-52s and fortify the western border like the Maginot line and expect for a massive invasion and get ready to retake the Sinai .
Have you actually read that article? Quote anything where it shows Israel is actually offering any kind of deal. There's nothing in it that indicates it's anything more than a typical formality, a much ado about nothing. Feel free to quote. Go ahead. I'll start the quoting:It seems that your government has a different opinion
Jordan praises Israeli-Palestinian talks - Middle East - Al Jazeera English
'Talks about talks'
Al Jazeera's senior political analyst Marwan Bishara said the meeting was merely about having "talks about talks".
"The Israelis need it. It seems Abbas needs it for the time being," he said. "Certainly the Europeans and the Americans need to give the impression that there is a peace process going on. It is a win-win situation for everybody, but a win-win situation that it seems, utterly, will fail."
Maybe doing away with a peace treaty means something else to you. I would say that the government doing away with the peace treaty is the one that wants war. Do you not agree?Who said that it means war? Egypt and "Israel" are not ready for such a step, but if your government wants war, so be it!
What's so funny?

They know very well that Egyptians refused and opposed this treaty from the very beginning, they know that Sadaat imposed it on people and later he was assassinated because of it...So they believe that if Egyptians were given the chance to vote, they certainly would cancel it (although it might not be actually true)...whats the worry?
They cann't! because Israel doesn't know this word "Peace", they just know interests "land for peace"...Hamas wouldn't accept such thing, they would never accept to give "Israel" the remaining parts of their land on a silver plate for unactual peace...i don't see anyone complaining about israel not making a peace treaty with the palestinians, why don't you make a peace treaty with palestine?
