No, that is to much.... might actually scare folks off.... and cut down on available pick-a-nick baskets for inspection...... how about a pre-mauling frubal...more like this

The masses would think it's a joke.
This would make them slower & more trusting.

Perhaps you missed post #15 where @Rival said this is a religious forum.
I hear that all the time.
But is it not yet obvious that it's nominally
about religion, not for only religious folk?
Criminy...most of the posts here have nothing
to do with religion at all.

Without us heathens & secular gadflies, RF
would be nothing more than arguing which
god is the true god, & how many fingers
does He have on each tentacle.

Wishing someone well is no different from positive prayers.
Perhaps from your perspective. From a many theists' perspective, the two are quite different. For theists, the former demonstrates a personal desire for someone to be well, the latter petitions a deity for aid.

I gave my reasons. It is more inclusive with the add on. I thought that was an aim of the forum too.
How is it inclusive, though, when it excludes prayer? Prayer and well-wishing are not the same, and well-wishing is not what theists are doing. Just having a well-wishes emoji excludes the majority on this forum, religious people who do pray. This notion that secular things are neutral is not true; it excludes religion by default, and on a religious forum that is absurd. If you interpret prayers as well-wishing you are completely misinterpreting what theists are doing.

From this logic should we conclude that a religious forum excludes secular things?
In includes them, but not with the exclusivist view that some on here seem to be perpetuating; the idea that secular symbols suffice for everyone, theist and non-theist, which is clearly untrue.

You have not provided a reason why a secular frubal would be best for a religious forum.
I & other posters have addressed this issue.
If the goal is an option that the OP posted....
" Add a prayer/well wishes frubal."
....it would cause discomfort for some that
it could be seen as offering a prayer.

BTW, it doesn't concern me personally.
I'd just eschew a frubal that suggests prayer.
We have enuf to do the job already.

Most people on this forum know who the atheists are, though, and it's not hard to understand use of a prayer rating in a metaphorical way. I'm also not sure why there's so much upset at being mistaken for offering prayers. I mean, again, it is a religious forum, people are going to offer prayers. If you are offended at being construed as praying, that sounds like an issue with you, not prayer.

I can see where that is coming from if someone feels insincere about giving a rating that could be taken as expressing something they don't believe in.

I'm also in favor of adding a "Prayer" rating, so I think that perhaps it would be best to add both that and a "Best wishes" one.
