Parents call police on teacher over LGBT book.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Your opinion is noted. But if not the teachers, then who? The state government?
You know what is ironic to me? The fact that the school would send home a note every year for me to sign, allowing a teacher or principal or whoever, to hit my child with a board with holes in it ( never would sign it). Meanwhile, at the same school, a teacher once reported me to CPS of all places (they immediately found no harm being done to my kids so there's that) for spanking my child, who was pouting at school after being spanked that morning, by someone who loved him (unlike anyone at the school) and NOT with a board with holes in it, I might add. I also left no bruises or welts or whatever on the same child, who was scared to come home, not because he'd been spanked but because CPS had pulled him out of class to talk with him and he knew that was not a good thing. Anyway, so no, I don't trust most teachers or school administrators to handle the upbringing of my child.

American education was much better in those days than it is now.

Spanking is one of the few things that conservatives will support teachers on, but corporal punishment has no place in schools.

Asian schools don't have discipline problems.

At NYU a friend from Philippines was talking with
me about chaotic American schools.

Her comment was, at home if i didnt want to behave
in school, my father will send me to weed sugar cane

I didn't know that and it want a slur.
It was a valid comparison.
I'm not keeping up that sorry exchange

That's a shame, I will miss the free character assessment with each of your posts.

It's just that as with creos, the
phony facts, misrepresentation and
silly hyperbole can be a bit much even
for my saintly patience

Which phony facts are those? I don't recall any facts of any kind being discussed.

Is there a significance/use for the holes I wonder?

This stuff is gonna backfire on them soon. As Christianity declines (it's already a minority with whites), these rules will allow those of other or no religion to force everyone to abide by them. They should just go by The Golden Rule.

I'll argue sensible gun control until the cows come home if you want.
Given some of the incredibly bad arguments against gun control I am sometimes tempted to argue nonsensible gun control. Such as ordering that all AK47's and other such weapons be replaced with either Super Soakers or A Salt Guns.

I've been tempted to buy a salt gun and take up fly hunting.

As for AK47's I struggle to see the point of owning one other than for collectors militaria.

Jah.

It's really not my deal here in Singapore.

I only brought it up Coz right and left
in USA both want more restrictions in this and
fewer in that, both posing as the ones for freedom.

They are machine-gun, very difficult to
get one. So the issue is moot.
