According to Haitian national history, the revolutionary war was launched on the eve of a religious ceremony at a place in the north called Bwa Kayiman (Bois Caiman in French). At that ceremony on Aug. 14, 1791, an African slave named Boukman sacrificed a pig, and both Kongo and Creole spirits descended to encourage the participants and fortify them for the upcoming battle. The spirits were aggressive, strong and mad at the injustice of the system

this act is beyond devilish, this was an unnatural act- not an act of God- THIS WAS AN UNNATURAL ACT- i repeat so all of you understand- this was not natural in any sense-
Those who have COME INTO FULL POWER are showing us what they can do- wake upyou who are sleeping

This is the first and most powerful act of men who have circumvented that which we term PROVIDENCE- become conscious all of you

In some ways they are, but in a society such as America it is not possible to truly make a difference by sacrificing our personal luxuries. We might think we are helping, but in the end, as Rev Rick pointed out, much of the money donated to Haiti in the past was just taken by the government. So the problem is not with hypocritcal American citizens (well some of our spending on toys and junk might contribute, but then you could argue we are bombarded with marketing and advertising from the youth up to act this way), but the real problems lie with where humanity is on the priority list with our powers that be.

Let's be honest. As a Christian, I believe that the FALL of man and sin entering into a once perfect world is the reality. The entire universe is presently under the curse. ALL the bad things that happen are the direct result of this curse. It is only by the grace of GOD that every city of the earth is not tumbled into the sea.

Now, I do believe that satan encourages havoc to happen, but when it does GOD often brings good to those who love the LORD and has also caused revival were none was ever thought possible.

I do not know what good may come out of the terror now faced in Haiti, but I believe anything is possible with the LORD.

Now if you know 100% that your post would bring about arguments and misunderstandings, and confusion, why post it?

Yes, if we can blame ALL bad things to be be caused by Satan, and ALL good things to be a direct result of God's grace, then we can take ALL personal responsibility from the hands of man.
It is so reassuring to know we are all just pawns in a cosmic game of chess.....
