I disagree with Christian theology which says the original sin was disobedience. I think the original sin of so-called Eve and then Adam was OBEDIENCE to fleshly desire. I will do what I want to do is sin.

Huh?? They were clearly told not to eat from that tree. This was a command. They went against that command. This means disobedience.

Look again! Both ἀνομία, and ἁμαρτία mean sin. Sin is sin. Oh! Thanks for the understatement.

So the LORD repaid me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His sight. 2 Sam 22: 25

Men clearly earn their righteousness.
Righteousness, could be seen as 'right wise us'..... It is someone who considers everyone, thinks and acts right... It isn't a merit badge, that you achieve with enough good deeds.

So the verse above, says because of someone's good qualities, God rewarded them....Suppose if you believed in original sin, you'd could think you needed to 'earn' your way back into God's favour.

Yeshua did say about doing good works to gain eternal life; yet that doesn't automatically qualify someone as righteous, just because of doing good deeds... It is a word used to describe character, thinking and intent as well. :innocent:

I see the true connection with God., not through the law, but through the heart, or love, God isn't love, its the other way around, in love there is no god or any concepts of such things, needleless things as god is not needed in true love.

Thats not what Psalm 49: 7 says. Men all sin because we choose to sin during our lifetime. Not because we are born sinful like Paul states.
All humans and animals are born to please themselves. According to Jesus Christ that is wrong. Agree?
It seems to me that sin and wrong are synonymous.
Humans have not evolved to the stage of oneness and that is the goal. Is it not?
Do you want more words?

Would love to see a scripture verse that backs this idea up. Righteousness in the Bible is simply someone who follows God's commandments. It is earned.

I guess that depends on how you define love.

It might be a sin to be unaware of what a neighbour is in need of. We do not know what is best for ourselves. We do not know what is best for our neighbors and we do not know what is best for the Earth. I think it is not wrong to call that Sin.

God knows what everyone needs. Works get a person to that place which knows what is best.

I think that is half way there. Righteousness is simply someone who follows God's lead.
