Political Affiliation Changing in US

Businesses can be rebuilt. The 850,000 Americans who have died from covid cannot be returned to life as death is permanent.
It's called priorities. Material items do not come above life itself. Businesses get destroyed by natural disasters all the time.
I think that is somewhat biased:

Now that the 2020 figures have been properly tallied, there’s still no convincing evidence that strict lockdowns reduced the death toll from Covid-19. But one effect is clear: more deaths from other causes, especially among the young and middle-aged, minorities, and the less affluent....

... As unemployment surged and mental-health and substance-abuse treatment programs were interrupted, the reported levels of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts increased dramatically, as did alcohol sales and fatal drug overdoses. The number of people killed last year in motor-vehicle accidents in the United States rose to the highest level in more than a decade, even though Americans did significantly less driving than in 2019. It was the steepest annual increase in the fatality rate per mile traveled in nearly a century, apparently dueto more substance abuse and more high-speed driving on empty roads.

160 years ago. Who do you think reveres the confederacy today by defending their statues and flying their flags? It isn't democrats.

So... the Republicans in Iowa are flying confederate flags?

If you want current:

Democrats are shattering Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream

While King wanted unity, Democrats have sought division. While King wanted integration, Democrats now yearn for a return to segregation.

It's the new effort of enslavement again.

Not to my knowledge.
Ah I found the article...havent finished rereading it and I didn't finish it the first time...
When and why did Democrats and Republicans switch platforms?
Edit: just read it and interesting. I couldn't remember when or why it happened just that I heard there was one. Now I got more to read on. Thank Ken for reminding me I had this to read and wanted to learn more on this topic. Now imma butt out so not to derail the topic

And the democrat rank and file believe in human rights, social equality and less lobbyism.
Doesn't mean they'll get that from their party either.
That is true...no doubt!

1. No matter whom you give the tax cuts, it is money that is missing from taxes and raises the deficit.
2. Taxes have been cut since the Reagan era and it was always more beneficial for the rich. (And yes, democratic presidents did that also.)
It is an undeniable fact that wealth and income have risen exponentially for the 1% and stagnated for the masses since the seventies.

As a financial counselor, when people are in debt.

Truth #1. Stop spending and stop increasing your debt. (NOT START SPENDING MORE)
Truth #2 It isn't you need more money, because you got more money 8 years ago, 6 years ago, and then again 4 years ago... and you still increased your debt. IT'S A SPENDING PROBLEM!
Truth #3 Learn to live within your means.

I didn't say "give everyone a tax cut"... I said "STOP YOUR RECKLESS SPENDING" and learn to live within your budget.

As you reduce the interest to 0 in the US you have all the money you need...

Actually, I believe that was the issue and the ultimate issue.

When you can restrict churches but keep strip-clubs and other businesses open... we look a little further down the line.
The 1st Amendment is a high hurdle indeed.
Oh, how government chafes under its yoke.

colors your eyes with what's not there
Appreciate it... it would be interesting!

Here are some very recent numbers, from Fall 2021, Harvard's Youth Poll 42nd Edition:

  • Among young Democrats, President Biden’s job approval stands at 75% (-10 since Spring 2021), and it is 39% among independents (-14), and 9% among Republicans (-13).
  • President Biden receives the highest approval rating for his handling of the Coronavirus (51% approve), his lowest rating comes from his handling of gun violence (34%).
  • Still, 78% of those who voted for Biden in 2020 say they are satisfied with their vote.
  • Forty-six percent (46%) also view President Biden favorably and 44% unfavorably; the favorability ratings of others included in the survey are: Bernie Sanders at 46% favorable / 34% unfavorable; Kamala Harris 38% favorable / 41% unfavorable; Nancy Pelosi 26% favorable / 48% unfavorable; Donald Trump, 30% favorable / 63% unfavorable.

That is real interesting! Thanks.

Reviewing it carefully, not that we will know the answer, how can one have 78% satisfied with their vote but only have 46% a favorable view. :) Makes my head go tilt.
