What I’d like to know Is why we haven’t always heard about freeing Palestine years ago. It seems like I’ve only been hearing this for the past year or two. Why is that?

I am not saying Israel is a beacon of morality. But they are not terrorists. What has Israel done that is immoral?

Let's tart with illegal occupation. Something they have time and again been accused of through the UN security council, only to have the many resolutions vetoed by the US.

Really sad what the Israelis have been doing to the Palestinians for these many decades, too: killing their people and stealing their land, forcing them into poverty and servitude. Yeah, well, the nazis lied to the world about exterminating the Jews, too. As the US has lied about exterminating the native Americans. Asking the conquering criminals if they are the criminals may not be the best way to get an honest answer. As the criminals rarely think they ARE criminals. The Jews still think they're the "victims" even when they're the perpetrators. And anyone that dares to say otherwise is labelled an "anti-Semite".

Explain this horrible treatment because of oil interests

We installed violent dictators in both Iran and Iraq that abused and murdered their own people, simply because they agreed not to disrupt the flow of oil to the west. That's just for starters. We gave poison weapons to one of those dictators and helped him use them against the other nation to prolong a war between them, indefinitely, causing the horrible deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iranians. Then we invaded and killed that dictator (Iraq) for no apparent reason because we thought he still had some of those poison weapons (that we gave him) resulting in the deaths of millions of Iraqis and the destrunction of the whole country.

You should learn some Middle Eastern history.
