dear friend, you kinda made me sad. you know in summer time all the animals here suffer because they can not find water at all. so i give them water everyday. they come along and have baths this is one way to serve Allah. those birds, and also cats and dogs who can not find water would be able to reach water only if people help them. i do not know what you think of serving Allah means but it is equal serving all the creatures around you. if there is nothing you can do you smile people and make them smile, that is serving Allah as well. be happy and make others happy, imo there is nothing wrong with that.

allah being pleased with you for simply being a good person is quite a different thing from allah being mad at you if you dont pray 5 times a day, and face an arbitrary direction. if you dont wear a hijab (if your a woman), if you are homosexual, if you eat pork, ect.
