Republican Election plan to subvert the Presidential Election.

I think the system of democracy has weathered many storms in the past. It will weather this one. Officially, the states have not certified the results yet. Some states haven't even finished counting ballots. Let Trump have his day in court, as that's part of our system, too.

It's also true that news agencies have no official standing when it comes to certifying election results. Because of this, it hasn't gotten to the point of undermining the system of democracy - not just yet anyway. If people need further reassurances that the system of democracy is still sound and legitimate, then it may mean that the system will have to take a few extra steps in order to provide that reassurance. If they're in too much of a hurry that they decide they want to shut the process down and say "that's it," then that could also undermine the democratic system.

My advice to people would be to just relax and wait. Wait until all the states officially certify the election, which should be by the end of this month. Then, the Electoral College will meet on December 14. If Trump and his support base are still screaming "fraud" and "fake news" by that time, then we might have a real problem on our hands.

Best to keep alert.
There will be more tricks to come.

Of course, there is the other side of the coin.

The incessant barrage of false accusations to make it look like Trump was evil and unfit

What false accusations are you referring to? Care to try to name some?

The seeds of "Trump will illegally keep the presidency"

Seeds planted by Trump.

  • He refused to say he would accept the results of the election.
  • He asserted that the only way he could lose the election is if there was fraud.
  • He disparaged the use of mail-in ballots knowing that his nut jobs would vote in person whereas Biden supporters, concerned about COVID, would use mail-ins.
  • Shortly before the election he installed a loyal buddy to head up the post office to delay mail-in ballots. A move that the courts stopped.

The promotion of mail-in ballots where there were no safeguards by the left

As far as the counting is concerned, do you know what poll watchers are?

As far as the operation of the post office, the courts put the fear of jail into to mind of Trump's postmaster.

Postal service people throwing out ballots. Finding ballots on the side of the roads.

How do those people know they are throwing out only Trump ballots? Think!

Washington police: Garbage bags of mail found on side of road included unopened ballots

SAMMAMISH, Wash. (KOMO) – Police in Washington are investigating potential mail theft after two garbage bags of mail, which included ballots, were found on the side of the road and several unopened ballots were found in incorrect mailboxes.

The City of Sammamish says USPS delivered about 90% of ballots to Sammamish residents on Thursday. Mail carriers were out delivering Amazon packages early Friday morning when they found two garbage bags of mail on the side of the road, containing several unopened ballots.

Is this election fraud or just a pissed off postal worker? Think!

The refusal to let Republicans be part of the review of said ballots to then blame the Republicans for questioning the legitimacy
Your evidence?

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court exceeding its authority

and then blaming the Republicans for what the Left created.
Care to offer some specifics?

That should be IMUO U for unsubstatiated.

All I am saying is that the knife cuts both ways. I am not saying that the Democrats are wrong... but the Republicans are not wrong either. I am not saying the Democrats are right... but the Republicans are not right either.

Let's look at it this way.

The Dems point out the nuclear option of Supreme Judge selection that is wrong but have no problem saying it is all right to do the same thing for Federal judges during their tenure.

The Republicans say it is all right to do the nuclear option with the Supreme Court but then decry when it is done by the Dems on the Federal Court level.

So... what do we have? Both are guilty!

Sore winner syndrome?
Great jump'n Jeebus....Trump has lost...he'll soon be out.
No need to be shunning opposition.
Still not gone, and he has been fanning the flames during the election (and before) - and which might have turned into violence. I'm not so partisan as to be against all those supporting Trump or the Republican Party, or the right-wing in general, but when it turns into farce and gets worse than this then it's time to call such out. Perhaps we are used to more gentile ways over here - but many being just as wrong. :D

Trump is on his way out, albeit kicking & screaming.
Money back guarantee on that.
But my post was about the evil of shunning the other side over political differences.

Where it will end is that there is no way the Supreme Court is going to end up overturning the result, whatever the politics of its members.

The Republicans know that perfectly well (even if Trump, as a crooked real estate dealer, may think he has "bought" the judges.) The game is to string out the uncertainty for as long as they can, to undermine Biden's legitimacy for as long as possible to and avoid him getting any of the transitional assistance that is customary. They just want him to fail as a president, even if it means working to destroy faith in American democracy.

It is pretty close to treason, actually.
Yes, Treason is the word I am pondering to call this.

Defending the t, and observing that the left is a thin improvement if any at all, are not the same thing.
It's not really left or right though - more about acceptable behaviour - and Trump is promoting the worst (and which appeals to so many others apparently). Do I have to remind you that people turn up at protests armed - no threat implied of course.

I just trying to figure out the goofy mental gymnastics people go through to convince themselves that Trump somehow isn't a total piece of garbage.
If one looks at his mixed record in office, one can find
some good policy changes, eg, reducing deductability
of property taxes on mansions, restoring the presumption
of innocence for students accused of sexual assault.
"Mental gymnastics" might better describe the total denial
of anything positive.

Do we have to remind anyone of the billions of dollars damage done by ye left wing rioters?

Lot of the worst from all sides.

Fanning flames except there aren't any.

Antifas were burning cars in 2016.
Car owners are lucky the t did not win.

That doesn't excuse his current behaviour - which is damaging his supposed democracy, and his own party.
