I'll go with my hunch that spousal rapes are even grossly more frequent than prison rapes, but of course, that's just my hunch.

There's no relationship between access to consensual sex and the likelihood of rape. Rapists want to rape, specifically. Not only consensual sex.

No, I'm serious. My husband sees me naked all the time and never rapes me. Even when he's in the mood and I'm not. That's because he does not have the psychology of a rapist: he has no desire to dominate others and does not enjoy forcing others to do anything against their will. Like most guys, he's only into consensual, mutually pleasurable sex, supplemented by porn and wanking. The idea of hurting people does nothing for him, sexually, because he is non-violent.

A friend of mine encountered a mugger. the mugger asked him to give him all and my friend (who is clearly crazy, but tends to be enterteining too) told him he would "gift him" what he is got in exchange of a blessing.
The mugger confused, instead of continuing the threaten until my friend gave him all without nothing in return and thus be truly mugging him, just made the signal of the cross on my friend and accepted his stuff.
If he wanted to mug, there was no reason to act this way. If he wanted money, then it makes every sense.
