Seven Reasons it's easier to Believe in God than to Accept Evolution

Monk Of Reason

Don't worry its okay.

As for what I read and watched its all opinions and possibilities and I saw no evidence.

The video is trying to explain the theory and claiming to have seen evidence.

Are you refuting that whales do in fact have leg bones and we need to cut one open for you?

Or that we have an understanding of the genome and what it would take? Because neither of the things I posted were "opinions".

Just a quicky here.....

I believe in God AND evolution.
I also believe God can tweak His creation whenever.

Fair enough, although there isn't really evidence that he did (at least not after life originated).

so...the point of divergence is not there?
and we are still animal?
and you don't really think of yourself as anything more than animal?
and you are content to surrender your last breath with no hope greater than eternal darkness of the grave?

fair enough.

I am not refuting, I am saying that there is no access to evidence in anything said.

What do you mean by divergence? If it is speciation, there is no single point; it is always happening.

and we are still animal?

Evidence certainly indicates that we are, much as we seem to be material as well.

If you want to propose that there is more to it, be my guest. I don't think we will agree on what exactly distinguishes us from other animals, but that is hardly a major matter.

and you don't really think of yourself as anything more than animal?

I value reason, abstract thought (including language) and ethics. I expect other animals to eventually develop those as well. There is some evidence that monkeys are on the verge already.

I'm not sure that answers your question, but I would need some more specific wording from you in order to answer better.

and you are content to surrender your last breath with no hope greater than eternal darkness of the grave?

I have no phobia of death, if that is what you are asking. Nor do I actively seek to develop it - I don't think you are suggesting that I should, but I'm not quite certain.

Here are two problems

1- No access to evidence, if there is in the first place

2- Huge percentage of what are written are theories and assumptions that try to fill up the actual lack of information.

There is plenty of access to evidence, which I assure you does exist.
The thing is, you have to look for it. All this time going back and forth with me could have been better spent on Google.

What are the requirements for something to be called a scientific theory?
