Should Donald Trump be Sentenced to Jail for 34 Felonies?

It Aint Necessarily So

what felony crime was committed
34 of them. 34 felony counts of falsification of business records in the first degree.
the crime was misdemeanor at best .. like turning jaywalking into a felony after the fact
The crimes were all felonies.
what were the Jury instructions ?
You can read that here.
there was no specific felony crime there were to vote on
Maybe. I didn't read them. If the official charge wasn't included there, so what? The jury was told what the charges were at the beginning of the trial and no doubt throughout as well.
Evil Hillary .. "Lock Her Up"
I'll be that she's enjoying her vindication.
we do have 3 branches of Gov't
Yes, but that's only significant when they serve as checks and balances on one another. In Republican world, they're all in cahoots. Congressional Republicans turned out at the trial to do what Trump was forbidden from doing by a gag order, and the Supreme Court is helping Trump delay his federal trials until after the election.
Still waiting for you to show proof that Trump was convicted of rape.
You have so little to cling to in defense of that monster. He's a liar, grifter, sexual predator and serial adulterer who stole state secrets and tried to steal the government, has had about a half billion in civil judgments levied against hm, and now he's a convicted felon. And your defense is to argue that Trump wasn't convicted of rape when he was determined to be a sexual predator in civil court.
he chose to take the high road by not putting his political opponent on trial or in jail.
Trump has never done a noble thing in his life. He has no human virtues at all - no sense of decency, loyalty, humor, or empathy. He's a societal parasite and career criminal.
Yep! Trump won the White House and saw no need to start politically persecuting anyone. Let's see if Democrats can rise to that standard.
He tried and failed with Hillary.

The Democrats persecuted nobody politically. With the help of two Republicans, they held a J6 investigation, prepared a report, and referred Trump and others to the DOJ for prosecution. The DOJ is not part of the Democratic Party and doesn't work for it.

If you want to see what political persecution looks like, look to the House Republicans and their punitive investigations of investigations they didn't like. Jordan has subpoenaed Bragg to testify before Congress. It's earlier Biden impeachment persecution went nowhere. The did get Mayorkas impeached, which was purely political.
Once he got the White House, there were far more important things to accomplish than attacking his former political opponent.
Golf, raiding the treasury, persecuting immigrants, rage tweeting, and stealing state secrets were high on his list of things to do. He promised a wall, an infrastructure package, and an improvement on Obamacare, but I guess he was too busy doing those other things.

You are quite wrong again. The E. Jean Carroll case found that Trump sexually assaulted Carroll. Now one could argue that that was his finger, I suppose women may have a difficult time with Trump noticing the difference, but in most states if you penetrate a woman sexually no matter how you do it, it is rape.

And as bad as Hillary is, there was no doubt that Trump was worse for the country. The best that Trump could do was to try to tear down the work of his predecessors. And to stack the USSC with incompetent and evil judges. That is why he already has the listing as one of the worst Presidents ever.

Civil doesn't count - get a grip... and it was not rape .. get a grip x 2. what a pile of nonsese .. as was the civil trial .. again done kangaroo style .. a he said she said beyond the statute of limitations .. get a grip x 3.

Give one felony crime ? .. should be easy since there are apparently 34 of them.

The witch hunt was political persecution .. .. that they got a few Red Clowns to go along with the clown show change the fact that it was a kangaroo process as illegitiate as can be .. for many of the same reasons the Clinton witch hunt was illegitimate . according the Dershowitz ..

You be the Judge! Is it appropriate to sentence Former President Trump to jail at this time?

I'm not looking for a prediction. What is your opinion? Consider his age. Trump is the preemptive Republican candidate to be President of the U.S.

edit: Consider any reasons for or against jail time.
Probation interview tomorrow.

Why doesn't it count? Let me hear this new theory of law that I have never heard of.

And let's hear your excuse of why it was a "kangaroo court".

I think that we need a special rule on abusing phrases. I can prove that Trump's first impeachment trial in the Senate was done by a "Kangaroo court". There is no doubt about that. Do you want to know why? Because the Republicans did not allow the presentation of any evidence against Trump. In case you did not know a "kangaroo court" can work either way. If the judge does not allow the prosecutor to do his job it would be a kangaroo court. If the judge did not allow the defense to do his job it would be a "kangaroo court". So until you support your claim you have lost.

Someone asked you a question. Once again, I see you have no answer, so you make it personal.
Time to keep your emotions in check, buddy!
Your question was nonsensical. It had nothing to do with the topic. It was only a very weak attempt at shifting the blame. And it did indicate that you were jealous of Stormy. I was laughing, I was not being emotional. Once again, like Trump you are projecting.

Your demonization of the guy holds no meaning.
LOL! I made an accurate statement and linked a reliable source that supported it. You should try doing that some time.

Is all that you have when you are shown to be wrong are false claims against the person that refuted you?

I did write them down .. and explained to you in fair detail the violations of due process. Which violation did you not understand ? The video was for further instruction .. and support.. Why are you pretending you were not given the due process violations . ... talking about baited breath. .. thats wierd Pogo ..
No, you only made false claims. Such as that Trump never informed what he was charged with. I can understand your confusion. You forgot that Trump was an idiot and may not have understood the crimes that he was charged with. The court does not have to understand for him. They only have to be clear in what his charges were.

The unofficial and the official charges are both in there starting at page 24. It goes over them in detail.

At the start the jury is informed that they would not be a getting a copy of this but that he would (and he did) read any parts of it again that they desired. The jury was informed, and that the jury took their job very seriously was shown by how often they asked the judge to go over certain parts of those instructions as well. I do not know, but I am assuming that it is standard not to give a jury a copy of the instructions to the jury to keep for themselves while deliberating.

What service has she ever provided to humanity, other than entice guys to look at her? (something she can no longer do)
I believe porn stars provide an invaluable service to humanity.

But that has nothing to do with the fact that Trump is a convicted felon. They are not going to overturn that conviction because Stormy Daniels is a porn actress instead of a nurse. (although she did play a nurse in one of her movies.)

Well There was a post of yours that was so scrambled I thought about suggesting you breath into a paper bag, That's the only one I can think of that you might have thought contained them, anyhow if you can't repeat it, maybe because you can't actually remember it.

And it is bated breath, not baited breath, look it up and improve your vocabulary.

That would depend on his diet. Perhaps it is very high in herring.
Red hats eat red herrings. and other stories by the Mango Mussolini.
I'm still not waiting with bated breath for him to support his claims or look it up in the dictionary.
Though herring in wine sauce sounds like a good summer snack, thanks.

So you agree, absolutely nothing to do with the "high ground"...
The business of the White House under Trump IS the high ground.
You wouldn't be familiar with the high ground, so I'm using pre-school reasoning in order to help you out.
You're welcome! (Datz wut you say whayn some body sez tank you!

Laughing is an indication of happiness, which is an emotion.
Glad to correct you.

Then you should go to one of those sites instead of wasting our time here.

Not to mention that another one of their key witnesses is a convicted perjure.
Liberals usually do dig deep into the gutter for what they consider to be "credible".
