The truth of it, @Revoltingest ,whether you can accept it or not, is that I actually do think your semantic argument is nothing but you back peddling

Sharing "truth" eh.The truth of it, @Revoltingest ,whether you can accept it or not, is that I actually do think your semantic argument is nothing but you back peddling
He will be who he is.
I don't hope for more than that.
Remember that low expectations of others are the key to equanimity.
And I think you're blinded by desire to win an argument.
This prevents understand another's perspective.
I agree. Those in such a high position need to also be held to a high standard and held accountable. Remember, he works for us and we have a right, nay, obligation to demand service with quality and integrity.
I agree.
It's nice when it happens.
But it's fleeting.
You shared your "truth of it" with me.Btw, this is now ad-hominem another typical trend in your "debating" style.
It's like you think when a person becomes president they have to talk like their on the witness stand 24/7. I get what Trump means.
As do you, I like leaders to be exemplary.
... but then there's this:
It seems that so much of right-wing politics has inadvertently made it clear that it is a self-parodying, hypocritical circus act. Do many of Trump's supporters really believe him when he says things like the above?
You shared your "truth of it" with me.
I reciprocated.
But you call it an "ad hominem", as though your personal commentary differs.
Double standards to eek out a faux win are your style.
Seek, & ye shall find (ie, confirmation bias).Btw, your reply was so predictable I thought of that rebuttal before you even posted.
Of course you can't expect perfection, but you should expect a high position to be held to a high standard. As do you, I like leaders to be exemplary.
Sometimes they are.
But they won't all be so.
It's unreasonable to expect it.
No, what Trump means is that he's not used to being held accountable for his words and actions. His ego can't stand criticism or scrutiny.
Seek, & ye shall find.
But if you don't try to confirm what you predict,
then you might find a different understanding.
What does "call for" an investigation mean to you?
Do you see no difference between that, & merely
being OK with one proceeding?
Nah, conservatives similarly show themselves to be thin-skinned, holier-than-thou, and self-absorbed, what with their Christian persecution complex, their belief that they alone are True Patriots, and that any disagreement must be the result of the liberal media conspiracy. Trump is just a typical conservative in this regard.Interestingly, Trump's narcissism, thin skin, self-absorption, and lack of humor are highly reminiscent of the liberal, millennial mindset. Maybe he's an SJW in disguise.
I didn't vote for him because I needed a history lesson.
We're not really disagreeing.Of course you can't expect perfection, but you should expect a high position to be held to a high standard.
This isn't flipping burgers, this is leading the world's most powerful nation. The fries a little cold? Annoying, but we shrug and move on. Our rights and freedoms a little impeded? Not acceptable.
I'm actually trying to change it to a discussion about investigations & their utility.
This might be too harsh.....Alright, @Revoltingest , I am done for now, so feel free to have a rebuttal free stab at me. Whatever you want to say, I will not try to refute.
