New Orleans owes it's thanks to SD for giving up on Brees. As a native of New Orleans, I was a Saints fan when we called ourselves the Aints and wore bags over our heads on game day!
But the amazing achievements of the team after Katrina and culminating in the Superbowl last year was much more than football. As New Orleans rebuilt itself, the team played an integral part in the morale of the beleaguered city.
When they won the Superbowl, it was a triumph that symbolized the triumph of the spirit of the people of New Orleans.
