Like I said, it's still no excuse for how overly obsessed people are with sports and also no excuse for how much players are paid.
Lol, kinda like religion. At least with paying for players we get excitement. Religion just gives you peace of mind like insurance.:D

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I think it's all great fun myself. And I'm sure the players and fans really don't give a rat's *** whether you or I like football or not.

These are all Saints fans and players, but you'll find the same zeal, zaniness, and joy expressed by the fans and players of any football team - professional, college, or even high school.

Joy and a sense of community are both healthy. And they feel good too!

Oh, yeah - Superbowl Champions, made it to the playoffs this year, coach with a sterling reputation, one of the most impressive quarterbacks in history (as a player AND a man) - what a terrible team...

As a native of New Orleans, I was a Saints fan when we called ourselves the Aints and wore bags over our heads on game day!

But the amazing achievements of the team after Katrina and culminating in the Superbowl last year was much more than football. As New Orleans rebuilt itself, the team played an integral part in the morale of the beleaguered city.

When they won the Superbowl, it was a triumph that symbolized the triumph of the spirit of the people of New Orleans.

What an emotional ride!

New Orleans owes it's thanks to SD for giving up on Brees. I don't think the Saints would be where they are now without him.

I agree - Brees is an exemplary person, on and off the field, and a great leader. He and Sean Payton have been invaluable to the Saints - and to New Orleans.
