If you listened to what Biden said he was cogent, logical, well informed and had a solid grasp of the issues.
If you only listened to how he said it his voice was hoarse and he stuttered occasionally.

Well the **** show is over. That's a good preview of the two best candidates we have to offer. I don't see how anyone can have confidence in either one of them or either party that picked them.

And CNN is saying that the Democrats are panicking. They may be. Biden's voice was far to hoarse and he could not get his message out as well as he could have.
Meanwhile Trump just lied, but that does not bother his supporters at all. He did not lose it so he may have "won". Biden was the better candidate on positions, but the presentation sucked.

I do not think that Biden did nearly as well as he could have. Seriously, he is too old for the job. Time to step down and let Kamala Harris take over.

Image is extremely important in debates like this. And Biden just did not have it tonight.
It is a matter of the administration that is built, and what they will do for America and the planet. Trump's plan is exceptionally bad for the future. Biden has a 4 year record of good economic growth and social stabilty. If you recall Reagan was declining vastlky worse than these two in his last two years, and things didn't fall apart. The issue is what administration can we trust? It's not Trump's gang of corrupt sociopaths.
Sadly, Trump supporters don't care that he lies. And most of what he said tonight was pure falsehood. But these sorts of debates aren't about what is said -- they're about the visuals (welcome to the electronic age; once upon a time, people could read transcripts of debate and actually know what the candidates said). Biden's age showed far more than I (and probably his party) had hoped. He is old -- and it shows. Trump looked younger and more vibrant -- which only made his lies more believable to his minions.

If only character and substance mattered.
It's been reported that he caught a cold which explains a lot. And with as much travelling as he's done I can see how that exposed him to it. He had a negative Covid test.
