The Debate of God.

godnotgod

Thou art That
The perfectly rational mind of God can be understood perfectly with the aid of reason.

The perfectly rational mind is the mind of a fool.

"In the Way of search for God everything is upside down."
Rumi

"The place wherein Thou art found unveiled is girt round with the coincidence of contradictions, and this is the wall of Paradise wherein Thou dost abide. The door whereof is guarded by the most proud spirit of Reason, and, unless he be vanquished, the way in will not lie open."
Nicholas of Cusa

Thou art That
Where is God's mind?

*giggle*

Playfulness itself is God's mind.

Here, there, and everywhere...and nowhere. It is all mind, and it is all no-mind. It is emptiness itself, and you are it.

You yourself are the Indestructible Sunyata.

Look, it cannot be seen -- it is beyond form.
Listen, it cannot be heard -- it is beyond sound.
Grasp, it cannot be held -- it is intangible.
These three are indefinable;
Therefore they are joined in one.

From above it is not bright;

From below it is not dark;
An unbroken thread beyond description.
It returns to nothingness.
The form of the formless,
The image of the imageless,
It is called indefinable and beyond imagination.

Lao-Tzu
Tao te Ching

"In reality only the Ultimate is. The rest is a matter of name and form. And as long as you cling to the idea that only what has name and shape exists, the Supreme will appear to you non-existing. When you understand that names and shapes are hollow shells without any content whatsoever, and what is real is nameless and shapeless, pure energy of life and light of consciousness, you will be at peace - immersed in the deep silence of reality."

So now the only post that sticks to topic is an irrational rant?

That helps a lot!

your post isn't helping to keep things on topic either. If you're really that worried about the thread going off topic then you should try and get it back on topic instead of making pointless posts.

Shall we then focus upon ...God?
instead of pointless rebuttal about existence?

Now stop going off-topic. You are the one wanting to focus on God, so can you tell us:

What is God?

God is the First....first in thought and feeling.
Someone had to be First.

He is the Creator.
I rationalize...Spirit before substance.

It was His fingers that put a snap and spin to the universe.
Without such...
the singularity would have been a simple explosion...no rotation.
A hollow sphere of expanding energy.

He is the Almighty.
In the scheme of superlatives....
bigger, faster, stronger, most intelligent, and greatly experienced.
(someone has to be on top)

He cannot be circumvented or subdued.
He is the source of spirit and life.

He is the Almighty.

So I believe.

For you to be able to say that, there must be a 'not-First' against which you can compare the 'First' to. What is the 'not-First'?

By labeling God 'the First', you have made him a duality. Are you aware of that?

Do you have any actual evidence to support all this mumbo-jumbo?
