It is not too hard to tell which ones are honest if you know a bit about statistics. Typically honest ones will you tell you how they collected the data and the methods used to reach their conclusions so you can make a proper evaluation. When you see that details are missing that typically is a good sign that it is not a trustworthy study.

Yup. Pot is also illegal, but very widely used. It isn't grasping at straws walls because as long as you have "law and punishment" there will always be criminals. And no matter the deterrence, there has always been crime.

Could it possibly be that other places don't cover it because they know the cartel is already underneath them. You build a wall, they'll build a catapult on it. Their tunnels should be common knowledge, and the network is extensive as it already is. And, of course, not even the threat of death made the Berlin Wall impenetrable, and neither was the Great Wall. There is absolutely nothing within reason that you can change about a wall to make it work any better, and history shows border walls just do not work. Really, it's going to keep those who give more than they take out, and it's going to give an opportunity for the cartels to dig tunnels and charge a "toll" for passage.

I know he did. If you get caught, you get caught. However, the crucial difference is, factually, Trump took things in a different direction by diliberately targeting those who have no/minor criminal records. And really it's just not a good policy to do. They cause very little crime overall, they give back to us so much more than they take, and they keep food prices down. Literally, they aren't well liked, they are very exploited, and yet they're still here. So what if they don't pay taxes into FICA and Medicaid? They don't draw it anyways.

I hate Mitch Daniels, but I do give him credit for being the first governor in America to tell WBC they cannot be anywhere near a funeral preceding. I declared that day he actually did something right.
Trump jumping straight to executive orders and not even attempting to work with Congress makes it impossible to acknowledge anything as good really, even the one I agree with.
