When I was in high school, you could volunteer in the daycare for gym credits(yes, my high school had a daycare).

For some unknown reason, I did very well with the kids, especially the naughty little boys. I provided respite for the employed workers; the mischievous rascals would get passed to me as soon as I came in.

Now I have a house full of naughty little boys.

Clearly, this is my dharma.

Like I said...

People expect fun out of me. I look fun. I'm not.

Folks tend to take that as "She's too good to party down like we do. She's a snob."

When I was young and had social anxiety, some took my silence for snobbery, too. I really wanted nothing more than to talk to people, so that stung.

I'm guessing by the blood curdling shriek coming from the direction of the pool yard that the water hasn't heated up yet.

Pressure washer has died, it wouldn't blow the skin off a rice pudding so I'm left with a clean patch on a dirty driveway

I'd have done better in a commune, and I honestly think Ares would have, too.

Extroverts stuck in an introvert's lives...

I'm an introvert stuck in a world where people want to stop and chat with me.

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Go 'way, don't come 'round here no more
Can't you see that it's late at night?
I'm very tired and I'm not feeling right
All I wish is to be alone
Stay away, don't you invade my home
Best off if you hang outside
Don't come in, I'll only run and hide

Phew. About a round's worth of violent psycho fits.

I did add it to the 'to sing' list, @John53

Some of tonight's line up:

And because Ares said I look like George Jefferson:

I've been trying to think of some appropriate ones but they're all Aussie pub rock bands that no one but an Aussie would know.

I had to make the guitar effects for Tomorrow... it just isn't the same without them.

I used to be able to play that one, other than the solo.

I just looked up the tab. I could have played it, mostly A, G, C and D. Couldn't do the B chord in the "very hard to drink" bit though. A C D E and G were the only chords I had any proficiency with.

I bought a kid's guitar so I could do chords like B and F.
