well, if we mixed rouge from French with rose, your name would make red rose.

You credit me with far more intellect than what I have.

Not that I mind, though...:D

i happened to watch the movie Jaws when i was seven. i suffered from it for years. could not step on sand. do you go swiming? if i was in that continent, i think i would not even think about it.

.

I have to know how Jaws managed to pop up in a conversation about my user-name. Perhaps the loose j from reducing Rojse to rose...

I saw some sharks at sea world. They were in a tank. Their teeth were a bit unnerving, even though there was glass separating us (not to mention, water).

I think that crocodiles are a much scarier beast than sharks.

There's probably a Sci-Fi movie in that - Shark Versus Crocodile... scientists revive a prehistoric shark and a prehistoric crocodile and the two proceed to duke it out.

It does make sense indeed, just not the sense that I use.

I either use non-sense or no-sense, depending on what medications I am using.:D

Crocodiles kill hundreds of people in the world each year, whereas about four point three people die from shark attacks each year. Crocodiles have a far more diverse habitat than sharks do, and their habitat is more dangerous to humans - they can live in rivers and swamps, and can survive on land, and can be quite a menace during flooding.

Crocodiles for the win.

Since sharks are pretty cool:

From here and Wiki: a living fossil - a shark species that existed millions of years ago, commonly referred to as a Frilled Shark.

That's one cool shark.

yes, it is nice shark. OK, i surrender to your senses.

I'm trying to agree with you here. Sharks are damn cool.

If I could have found a decent site that details the size were in era of the dinosaurs, I would have put that up - twenty or more metres long, teeth as long as your index finger.

But prehistoric crocs are pretty fearsome, too. Twelve metres long, eight tonnes.

I think the two would put up a formiddable fight, and would be worth seeing on a B-grade Sci-Fi movie. I'd call it "Shark Versus Crocodile: Deathmatch".

Or a prehistoric croc let loose in the canals of a major city, done in the vein of a cheap Jaws rip-off, but with a crocodile instead.

How could those not work as movies?

what's your favorite horror movie? your latest favorite? i think wordly creatures are not good enough to scare people anymore or have their attention. it worked in 80's but now a giant spider or giant shark...etc could only make people laugh. there should be something unexpected in the movie to make it interesting. ohh i remember a Tarantino movie "from dusk till dawn" i guess, that movie really surprised me. in the middle of it, all of a sudden it turned into vampire movie :D that was fun and really unexpected.

you're trying to agree with me. i do not know what to say :D thank you! you're nice.

In '78, when I was 12, My friend and I sneaked into a R-rated picture called Piranha. The movie was about a bunch of piranha who get into the public waters and eat a bunch of people. It was the silliest horror film I ever saw next to The Boy Who Called Werewolf.

I don't watch horror at all. What I have watched either goes for cheap scares or is just pornographically violent, neither of which appeals.

If you recommended a more thoughtful horror movie, I would watch that.

I can actually be nice at times, in spite of the general consensus of the posters on here.
