Mrs. Wu is in China.... and I figured out the real reason she goes there...it has nothing to do with family or meetings....it is all about going to good restaurants and taunting me with the food she is eating by sending me pictures of it.

Mrs Revolt & #1 daughter send food pix back & forth all the time from domestic eateries.
So no....she prolly goes there for more training on how to annoy & confound waiguo ren.
I know this, having spent the weekend with a whole flock of'm.

Nope, if she sends pics from domestic eateries then she has to bring some home..... in China she can TAUNT ME with it...and I never get ANY of it...... She is already an expert and confusing Měiguó rén......

Btw, I was in SF for a memorial for the uncle who formed the Pa Taitai Club.
As a mainlander, he knew the way, & counseled us newlyweds.

Considering some of what they eat in China, I would not be taunted in the least but would be revolted and move to revoltingstan.

I think you are thinking Southern China...where, as a woman (a PhD professor actually) from Guangzhou once told me, Southerners eat anything with legs, except tables and chairs..... I'm talking Beijing..... good stuff there

Southern....northern....western....it's all good.
But I do not eat some things, eg, chicken feet, chitlins, xi fan, yo tiao.

I have had all sort of weird food since meeting my wife..... lung, intestine, cow cartilage......and of all of it.... that I prefer not to eat...if I was forced to have to eat one...it would be blood Tofu.....but Congee (xi fan) and youtiao (yo tiao) are yummy...that's some good eatin....... that right there is a good breakfast....

They dip it in xi fan to enhance the total lack of taste.
But I agree about the Chinese version of kishka....I don't eat blood.

Well, my wife and I are great aunt and uncle again! Neice just gave birth to a daughter, healthy and happy! Big sister (almost 3yo) had been saying all along that little sister had told her she was a girl...and she was right!
