Welll dear, The meaning is crystal clear, and if u notice, at the end there is one verse.
Al-Quran 30:24
"And of His signs is the showing of lightning, in which there is fear as well as hope,
and He sends down rainwater from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after its
death; surely there are signs in this for those who use their common sense"
.
Im sorry to mention here, its for ppl with common sense, not for u nameles:yes:

these verses are ultra stupid, surely written by the cave men who frighted lightning and fire.

lightning is occured due to sign of allah - wrong, lightning is caused by collission of the clouds.
and its allah who is sending water from the sky - wrong, water vapour is condensed to become water and rains.
and with it gives life to the earth after its death - wrong, its the property of water to make the earth lifefull.

where is the involvement of god in these?

i advice you to get help from 3rd standard student, out of sympathy he will teach you water cycle.

And please, u lost alread, keep some shame, and dont reply again dear till u get COMMON-SENSE:)

Of course, one down-side to this is that we should be quite unimpressed by something that is purported to be common sense finding its way into a religious text. By definition, religious texts should shed light on what we do not know, not on what is abundantly obvious. Strangely, I'd expect "god" to know that.

Response: There's the statement. Where's the proof?

Response: The knowledge was not common sense to many during the time it was revealed. However, the knowledge is not being charged as common sense, but rather the simple english we read in which one who speaks the language should commonly know to grasp the knowledge, hence the term "common sense".

People used to believe Zeus, threw lightning from the sky when he grew angry:

Whole civilizations named many gods the cause of lightning. Those days are now long gone and it can be shown and proven where lightning comes from and what causes it.

I have a children's book here that talks about weather and how lightning forms. I guess its easy to say god did it... but its false and answers nothing.

If your truly curious about lightning and its causes start with basics:

Did You Know?: What causes lightning?

again and again you are proving how silly you are. God joins the clouds? lol

from your words, it is now proved your rain concept is wrong, its wind which causes the clouds to collide each other and wind is caused by differences in air pressure and uneven heating. Cannot find anywhere such a blunder like water cycle concept in quran, it is also evident in those people who reads those. lol

The error here is two-fold. The first error is the conjecture floated by the Muslim adherents. The second error is in the naysayers entertaining said conjectures as if those conjectures contained meaningful content. Since neither camp is being realistic, the discussion cannot bear fruit.

Welcome to the Vortex.

rainwater has lots of salts in it, In open ocean and coastal areas it can have a composition similar to sea water,It has calcium, magnesium, potassium etc. Its not Pure at all.

Its not mentioned that rainwater is totaly ppure, ofcourse it has minerals, which are essential for land to be fertile, but as compare to ocean and seawater, it contains less salt, do we use seawater to fertile land???

it does not require any acceptance of defeat from you, your claims are proved false, quran is a book of blunder, or prove my above comment is false. Staying away from that blunder book would help to gain at least a little knowledge.

Rain Cycle mention by Quran.

In the Quran, reference is made to pure water coming from above.
48- “And we send down pure water from the sky”
25-The Distinguisher, 48

make your mind up please .

Ive proved everything, if ur mind is narrow, what I can do, u urself could'nt quote any contradiction in Quran, ur knowledge is very weak, u make Buddha an athiest.
You could;nt provide the reference for big-bang, just throwing words and skipping from challenge as always.
try some research 1st before posting anything here dear, thn make urself ready for challenge

Pure water does;nt mean its distillled water dear:) it means pure for land, to fertile it, that ppl can drink by storing it as well, can they drink sea-water directly? use some mind brother

Hi syberpriend!

First of all, I suggest you stop calling people "dear" and "brother" as it makes you sound condescending and patronizing. I'm sure you'll agree that making such an impression on other people in a debate or a discussion is not very constructive.

Secondly, I must point out that in certain parts of the world, rain water is anything but pure and would have to be filtered heavily if it is to be used as drinking water. Do you have an explanation for that?

Also - given that any physics professor (and any student) can demonstrate in a classroom how the raincycle works in a few simple steps, do you think god is responsible for that as well? Does god work as a teacher's assistant in his spare time? I mean, I know we're in a recession, but I didn't know it was that bad...
