So, can you explain why rainwater isn't pure if it says in the Qur'an that it is? You said it yourself - rain water simply isn't pure everywhere. Ever heard of acid rain?

Is it hard for u to understand english? rainwater pure means its easy to drink, and to store as well, the ponds, rivers get fill with rain, and same rain is good for land and ppl as well, is acid rain everywhere in world and all the time? is there mention in Quran for acid rain that u bring it here?
What good is this book of yours if following its verses can get you sick?
the verses in the book can make u feel better, u dont follow, ur sickness is showing here:)

We were discussing the rain cycle, why are you changing topics? You haven't answered the question: does god condense the water so that your professor can show you how the rain cycle works?
y is it related to professor? God made the system perfectly for rain to work, all clouds joining, rain, water vapour evaporating, all is the system of rain made by God. u try to large amount of water, let it evaporate, make it condense, and see if it rains or not, maybe f u rem, some time ago, they did practical for artificial rain, but did they acccomplish??? get some knowledge

Todays alleged contradiction is probably straightforward,we shall see:

17:
55 And thy Lord is Best Aware of all who are in the heavens and the earth. And we preferred some of the prophets above others, and unto David We gave the Psalms.

[4:152] As for those who believe in GOD and His messengers, and make no distinction among them, He will grant them their recompense. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

17:55 And thy Lord is Best Aware of all who are in the heavens and the earth. And we preferred some of the prophets above others, and unto David We gave the Psalms.

[4:152] As for those who believe in GOD and His messengers, and make no distinction among them, He will grant them their recompense. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

Whats contradiction in this? its realy straight forward.
1st verse said, "And we preferred some of the prophets above others, and unto David We gave the Psalms" This means some prophets were given books, some with other miracles, etc etc, but superiorrity wise, all are same, different in the sense of their appearance on earth, but all were equal in front of God, even Muslims dont take Muhammad (pbuh) as superior to any other prophet, we take all prophets equal.

This would certainly seem like a bit of a contradiction, EML, but it isn't really. Superficially, perhaps; but not totally. Just because all prophets are allegedly equal does not mean that God cannot play favorites because of their accomplishments.

That aside, it is somewhat telling that the Islamic god is so transparent as to favor some over others. It sounds so... human... doesn't it? Even with that though it does fall in line with amusing Islamic notion that one can accrue spiritual Brownie points with Allah, by doing things that are allegedly pleasing to him. It's not the deepest motivation for doing good, but I suppose, it could be somewhat effective, even though it is a fairly egocentric idea. It's akin to spiritual bribery designed by the spiritually bankrupt.

yes, it says god strikes the clouds each other to make lightning, after that they pours down pure water as rain, what this has to do with modern day science? only quran common sense can understand this logic, surely this book is written when cavemen had severe fever. :biglaugh:

how can a normal human being think rain and lightning is not natural and created by someone? also we all know cavemen had such believes. This book has nothing to say about water cycle. Surely there is a lot similarity between this book and cavemen theories.

LOL! So then what's the point in trying to "decode" and objectivefy the "divine" interpretation from a text, in such a language?

because its a perfect way to circumnavigate mistakes like the word "pure"

the Quran was written 1400 years ago in Arabic and to try and "decode" it to fit into modern thinking doesnt work.Unless of course you have that flexibility in words that when found are wrong in English can in fact have several meanings and you just pick one that suits your mindset.

you think rain and lighting is caused by no one?
