Trump Calls for Ban on All Muslims Entering US

I do not support The Trumpenator, but I just don't see serious opposition to Trump. It's like he is coated in fricken Teflon. It's not going to be pretty when he starts to really hammer on Hill Hill, the vulnerable.
But don't underestimate someone so unlikable, yet able to become the anointed one without even campaigning.

The ever level-headed, and first-rate presidential material, Donald Trump has called for a ban on all Muslims entering the US. What next? Will he propose building a wall around the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Southeast Asia? More seriously, what do you make of this?

New York Times Article.
Either he never has read a nice little paper called the "Constitution of the United States of America" or has just decided to ignore what it says. And the fact that this guy is still the front-runner in the Republican Party says a lot about today's Republican Party.

Does the First Amendment no longer apply? What does it matter what their religious background is. This kind of ignorance is escalating the situation How about focusing on the enemy, not blame the enitre group. That's the easy way out. We should do what's right, not what's easy.

But the important thing is Trump's rhetoric plays well with ISIS and other more radical elements. And I bet even our closest allies are wondering why this guy is so popular here and what they'll do if he were to get elected.

And the disturbing thing is that this fascist demagogy plays well with his growing nativist base and is rapidly becoming an acceptable part of our national narrative. It would take very little for the campaign to become a movement nourished (like ISIS) by every act of terrorism.

Thankfully, nearly everyone from Paul Ryan to Linsey Graham have condemned this ugliness. I'm not likely to vote for Graham, but anyone who goes on CNN and says:

"Here's what you're buying," Graham continued. "He's a race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot. He doesn't represent my party. He doesn't represent the values that the men and women who wear the uniform are fighting for... He's the ISIL man of the year." [source]

deserves a sincere nod of appreciation.

I never thought the day would come where Lindsey Graham would ever say something that didn't make me want to punch him.

It's good old fashioned racial and religious discrimination. Who knew that would become an important element for becoming president in the 21st century?

This form of nativism goes far beyond "good old fashioned racial and religious discrimination," and to dismiss it as 'same-old same-old' is naive.

Asked whether he would have supported putting the Japanese in concentration camps during World War II, Trump refused to say yes or no.

“It’s a tough thing. It’s tough,” he said. “But you know war is tough. And winning is tough. We don’t win anymore. We don’t win wars anymore. We don’t win wars anymore. We’re not a strong country anymore. We’re just so off.”

Apparently you "win wars" by violating the most basic rights of your citizens. Some glory days!

Seriously true. He is the terrorists bosom buddy as far as propaganda goes. They and he are trying to stir up a world religious war.

We have a long tradition of attacking our amendments, especially that one.
Trump isn't the first, or the last.
He just has the worst haircut of all.

Other than the anti-Muslim rhetoric, I could see Trump and America's Saudi prince allies hitting it off and being BFFs.
