Trump Calls for Ban on All Muslims Entering US

columbus

yawn <ignore> yawn
It's not going to be pretty when he starts to really hammer on Hill Hill, the vulnerable.
I see it as just the opposite. Trump is currently working the vein of crazy in the Republican base. He can outdo the Republican candidates on their own turf.
But when it a showdown between him and a hardened Washington insider, with barely lukewarm support from the Pubs, Godzillary will totally eat his lunch.
She and her Machine are quietly idling, while Trump takes out the Republican party for her. Then she'll start to fight.

Freethinker, I predict anyone attacking Trump, be it Jeb or Hillary, by twisting words, will lose.

No there will not be a ban on muslims. There will be immigration control and a temporary halt on anyone muslim coming from 6 terrorist hotbeds. However, non-muslims being persecuted by jihadees will be allowed to come - these are the actual refugees but they will also need to be vetted.

As far as muslim "refugees", if they are males of military age, they will be told they are drafted to go to the war front in there own country and fight ISIS. Sick of these cowards, males of military age didn't get to be cowards and come as refugees from France before the German Nazis - they had to go back and fight.

And what is this permanent citizen crap for these muslim males? No, nothing permanent. The muslim women and children can stay in a protected zone in Jordan or Libya, then go back after ISIS is dead. The men, put in a uniform and sent back to fight, no Playboys and free apartments here. Tell these cowards to go back and fight.
That's you prediction, huh?
Are you a betting man? Because I need some money.

How does a ban on Muslims actually work? Is it just another box to tick on the visa form?

"Have you ever been afflicted with a communicable disease of public health significance or a dangerous physical or mental disorder, or ever been a drug abuser or addict? Yes/no"
"Have you ever participated in persecutions directed by the Nazi government of Germany and their allies; or have you ever participated in genocide? - Yes/no"
"Are you a Muslamic? - Yes/no"

Or is it just people who look like Muslims? Perhaps a colour swatch could be used to check people's skin is Islamic light brown in tone. Also people in Muslim head gear, such a Sikhs. People with Islamic names like Richard Reid would be pretty easy to spot too. And those arriving by magic carpet rather than commercial airplanes.

Seems like a well thought out and practical plan.

What scares me the most is that he has a chance of being elected.
That's what makes me sad the most. The US loses either way. If he wins, Donald Trump is the president, 'nuff said, catastrophic loss. If he loses, we still lose, because it means we're a nation where someone like Donald Trump has a decent chance of becoming president. We get to be the joke of a country that almost elected Donald Trump.

Pfft, shows what you know. Obviously, all magic carpets will be intercepted by "lasers".

Legislation aimed at ethnic/religious minorities is never fair or objectively accurate - it's too easy to make a bad assumption (if you are an enforcer) or to bury a family history (if you are the oppressed). This doesn't stop government after government from trying, or even from their perspective succeeding, since "they look Jewish" or "they sound Hmong" or "their neighbor says they're Christian" is more than enough to make someone potentially a threat, if you start from the mindset that makes discrimination look like a good idea in the first place.

I guess I simply see America as being crazy enough to give the collective finger to Hillary and steamroll Trump into office.

This guys is weird. I once saw him saying that Muslims are good people and he likes them in a video and now this? Something feels off here. Either this article or the video I saw is wrong/edited.

But the thing is, what if an American Muslim goes out then back? What of the Muslims already in?

Muslims who are in get to stay in as long as they don't want to go out. If they go out, they can't come back in.

So basically Muslims can't go on holiday overseas and if they have a job that requires travel then they will lose it. No hajj or umroh, if someone's mum dies overseas then they can't go to the funeral, etc.

Just piggybacking the shooting hysteria for attention and a temporary thumbs up...same with the gun control stuff on the other side of the coin. Politics is taking advantage of situations and expected outlooks. It only takes a couple serious, well thought-out positions to secure votes and meaningful support...the rest is an attention game and flirting with the dumb.

If this is true, he's more dangerously idiotic than I assumed. He'll start many wars if elected, I'm sure.

Just as well it is highly unlikely:

Right now, he has 25 to 30 percent of the vote in polls among the roughly 25 percent of Americans who identify as Republican. (That’s something like 6 to 8 percent of the electorate overall, or about the same share of people who think the Apollo moon landings were faked.)

Those actually were exclamations/interjections more than questions against a decision/thought (Trump's) that does not make sense at the first glance. Dunno if there are exceptions he has in mind for it tho.

And yes, it does sound crazy.

Trump is clearly a racist, sexist, xenophobic, hateful bigot. Denying someone entry into a country based on their religion goes against the very spirit of diversity, which I believe to be one of the hallmarks of any free country.

It almost certainly is also unconstitutional, DS. 14th Amendment.
