What a wild take.

He lied to get a reduced price for a service. It's not really that different from this couple who went to prison over their $31 million counterfeit coupon racket.
There's another counterfeit coupon case from 2012. Three Arizona women who ended up costing companies a combined total of around $500 million. These gals bought so many luxury items and vehicles that one rented an airplane hangar for storage.

There's a movie about them called Queenpins, I think it's still on Netflix. It's a comedy but much of it sticks to the real scam.

I looked up Trump's gofunme to see the progress. He has grifted almost a million bucks from people.

After 4 days it's not great. He's getting less than $200K per day so far, and the donations will surely slow down before too long. Absurd that he is asking for the full $355 million from citizens. Good God, what a crook. Oddly he's only asking for $355 million, and none of the interest. Nothing for Don Jr and Eric? I guess he didn't want to sound greedy.

So if this rate continues, let's say stays steady at $200K a day, it will take almost 5 years to get the full $355 million. And there's already $98 million in interest. But until it is all paid off there is interest daily that is about $120K per day, so it's going to take a lot longer than 5 years. probably looking at close to 12 years.

How do people look at his face and think this billionarie needs their money?

Not quite. New York's governor had to make it clear to business owners in NY that it was only Trump that is being targeted, but other business owners have nothing to worry about. Hochul tells NY businesses not to fear about Trump verdict: ‘Nothing to worry about’.

Either every other business owner is above the law, or Trump is the only one they consider to be beneath it.

From the article:

“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about, because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior,” Hochul responded.

A New York judge on Friday ordered Trump to pay the massive sum in penalties in a civil fraud case. The decision came just weeks after closing arguments wrapped up a months-long trial based on a suit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) alleging Trump falsely altered his net worth to receive tax and insurance benefits.

The judge, Arthur Engoron, found Trump, the Trump Organization, top executives and his adult sons liable for fraud.

Hochul said there was no way she would overrule Engoron’s decision because “we need a clear separation of powers.” She added that “that’s what was envisioned by our Founding Fathers.”

The governor provided reassurance to New York businesses after the ruling. “By and large, they are honest people and they’re not trying to hide their assets and they’re following the rules,” she said of the people who own and conduct business in the New York City area.

“And so this judge determined that Donald Trump did not follow the rules. He was prosecuted and truly, the governor of the state of New York does not have a say in the size of a fine, and we want to make sure that we don’t have that level of interference,” she said. "

There's nothing in there about anyone being "above the law" as you've claimed.

Did you bother to read beyond the first paragraph or just can't comprehend the article? It clearly states:

“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about, because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior,” Hochul responded

What part of that suggests anyone is exempt?

This was in response to, "Remember when Trump ran the first time and when asked why he hasn't released his tax returns like all previous Presidents have always done, he kept saying he's under audit? Well ....."

Just over 3 years ago.

Again, relevance??

Which was in response to: "If it was known for decades, it would have been prosecuted decades ago, rather than waiting for the year he is ahead in the election polls."

By seeing when the government thinks it was ok to take it all.

Are you claiming Latoya James isn't a government official?

She's a prosecutor, so what do you have against them?

If "government" is supposedly such a bad word, then why do you blindly support Trump? Don't morals count? Can't his constant hate speeches disturb you even one iota? How is that in any way consistent with Jesus' Two Commandments that teach love?

It comes from Letoya James itself:
That does not say that the government would take it all. It would merely take enough to cover the disgorgement plus interest. Hmm, now it appears that you are trying to lower the value of Trump's properties.

Oh and I need to point out that technically this is not a fine. A fine is a punishment. Disgorgement is the taking back of ill gotten gains:

Try to stay focused.

It's money that would go to the government (which means Latoya James and her friends). If was restitution, it would go to alleged victims. That would be the banks, which never claimed to be victims. So it goes to the government, which means it's a fine.

Once again, it is disgorgement. He made money illegally. The concept of ill gotten gains is one that you should look into.

Here is the problem for Trump, if the money was ill gotten gains, and the trial demonstrated that it was, then it was not his money to start with.

The trial only demonstrated that a corrupt judge was in charge of rendering a verdict.
