Trump to FBI Director Comey: You're Fired!

"democracy only works for like minded people."

That is not how our forefathers saw it, which is why we have a multi party system, to prevent exactly that. What you are talking about is a mobocracy, a type of tyranny. Our forefathers designed our government as it is to counter that type of dangerous thinking.

It is sad how little people like you actually know about your own country.
Well put.

Not mine? What does that mean? Not your United States? You can keep deceiving yourself, but it doesn't matter what your opinion is or how much you love Russia. It is a FACT that they are an adversary of the United States.
No. Russia is not my adversary. And I do love Russians.

Remove the liberals, and Russia is no longer our adversary. Which is exactly why liberals are the adversary to the US.
Well, that certainly makes no sense. 90% of Republicans consider Russia to be our adversary and they have been very explicit about that. Watch the news lately?

No we didn't. Hillary got three million more votes than the second place finisher. That isn't democracy.
And there are quite a few posts from various people, such as @Revoltingest, explaining why it's better that we don't have one.
"Democracy" is a very flexible term.
To some pedantic types, it means a direct election of leaders, & voting on laws by the populace.
But this historical standard is so strict that no country would qualify has being democratic.
Yet we apply the term.
So most of us see it broadly, ie, electing (by some means) a representative government.
I like our being a democratic constitutional republic.
(Note the lower case "d" there.)

We just had a democratic election, and liberals are trying to destroy the outcome of that election. There is nothing democratic about a liberal mindset.
You do realize that when Obama was voted into office in his second term, Trump called for conservatives to march on Washington, right?

Also, Obama was never investigated by the FBI for electoral fraud. Trump currently is being. You are in no position to talk about people destroying outcomes of elections.

I actually hope that all nations begin to collude with all non-liberal Americans to prevent any more liberals from holding high public offices in the US.
Hold on a sec, you just said that liberals are trying to destroy the democratic process, and here you are literally stating that you wish for there to be an international conspiracy to prevent anyone of an ideology you don't like from potentially holding office in America - essentially saying that 1) you want other countries to determine who is and isn't electable and 2) that you believe only people who share your political ideology should be electable.

You, sir, are literally saying that you want to destroy the democratic system of America and replace it with rule determined by foreign dictate. How do you not see how hypocritical this is?

Either @Sonofason is trolling us or else he has actually has a viewpoint that is utterly divorced from facts and reason. I truly hope it's the former.

What did Trump do to hurt the poor, the disabled and the sick?
You're talking to the wrong guy. If you don't have the cash to pay for your services, you do not deserve services.
Yeah, I believe Jesus said something just like that. Maybe phrased a wee bit differently so that it sounded the complete opposite.

The guy who's too poor to pay for treatment for his sick child should just start digging a hole, eh?

I believe that a combination of far right sentiments and religion have the capacity to develop just such a viewpoint in a person. Frankly, I find it quite detestable, but I do see a lot of it -- most often among the uneducated right.

Eliminating the electoral college wouldn't make us no longer a democratic constitutional republic. It would only eliminate an outdated system that wasn't even intended to be used this way and has only ever given one party an advantage.

Of course.

I see no inherent intended or permanent advantage to one party or
the other. The effect is either random, or it benefits the one which
campaigns strategically for the winning electoral college vote.
So....
Do you think Trump was just lucky, or did he have the more sophisticated campaign?

Sophisticated? No. Strategic? No. Ruthless? Yes. Willing to say whatever was necessary to consolidate support with old people, white-nationals, and those who are upset that American culture is changing and their views are no longer "mainstream" ... yes.

Also, it didn't take too much work to get those who hate Hillary Clinton on his side.
