Unpacking Donald Trump's controversial Tweet

Curious George

I agree with you on saying he wasn't racist with his tweets. He was just retarded, because he clearly mentioned 'they', rather than 'she', which makes it clear he wasn't strictly talking about Omar. He doesn't know where the others come from nor did he bother to look it up.
No but the assumption that they too were from another country came from somewhere. Could it possibly be there skin color?

If you want to give someone a break that is fine. But when you keep having to do mental gymnastics to give a person a break it is time to throw in the towel. Trump is racist. It is really that simple.

Oddly, it was left leaning media who arguably enabled Trump's rise to power.
They gave him free coverage. They also helped us get to know Hillary.
That's a double whammy of effectively putting him in the White House.

But their result was surely unintentional. Trump, with them & even his
own party against him, provide strong evidence that no cabal was behind
him. Conspiracy theories that someone is pulling his strings are loony.
The "left leaning media" care about $$. Trump is good for their business. Do you realize how many people hang on CNN's or MSNBC's every propaganda filled word?

Complaining about Trump's buffoonery gets viewers which sells ad time which is all that really matters to the "left leaning media."

Could it be? It sounds like you're agreeing with me.
That comports well with my view that they were
unintentionally Trump's handmaidens.

Are you really saying that Trump said go back to Congress? Really? LOL
Tongue in cheek. I'm giving the President every benefit of the doubt here, and going along with the assumption that this is a "carefully crafted message." If you are dispassionate about it, and follow the logic (or illogic if his mind is indeed overcome by hatred,) then that is what the message is saying. Whether that is what he actually meant to say or if it is something from his unconscious mind coming through can be debated.

Trump is a pathological liar which is a mental illness that makes trump unqualified to be President of the USA.

A pathological liar is someone who lies compulsively. While there appears to be many possible causes for pathological lying, it's not yet entirely understood why someone would lie this way.Aug 27, 2018

Pathological lying

Pathological lying, also known as mythomania and pseudologia fantastica, is the chronic behavior of compulsive or habitual lying.

Unlike telling the occasional white lie to avoid hurting someone’s feelings or getting in trouble, a pathological liar seems to lie for no apparent reason. This can make it frustrating or hard to know what to do if you believe you’ve met one.

Though pathological lying has been recognized for more than a century, there’s not yet a clear universal definition of the condition.

Some pathological lying may result from a mental condition, such as antisocial personality disorder (sometimes called sociopathy), while others appear to have no medical reason for the behavior.

Spam, wonderful spam (bloody vikings!)
I can't work out if Trump is trying to be obnoxious, or if he's just naturally obnoxious.

Or, if one continually says and does racist and bigoted things over the entire course of one's life and/or presidency, then perhaps they are racist.

Assertion. No laws changed, recognition by Jackson, Ellis Island award, Muhammad Ali award.

That is exactly what is going on.

They all know exactly how to manipulate the psyche of people.

It is troubling to think that all it takes is a crafty Donald Trump tweet, some on the left saying some stuff ~ and all of this uproar from the populace.

I am surrounded by wind up toys/puppets that are stirred up by any little thing their puppet masters say.

It is the plague of identity politics which redirect blame to other people.

Why are you focusing on Omar when there were other Congresswomen he was referring to? I already posted the tweet. Like I said your debating skills is horrible.

As she is the one that is foreign born and following the socialist policy that destroyed her homeland.

I brought up this possibility but to leftists one can not be wrong without being racist. The tweet was standard political "un-Americanism" which the left has zero issues using against Trump.

Trump big mistake is that his tweet stopped the infighting between Dems. He should have kept backing Pelosi against AOC's charges of racism thus dividing the moderates from the radicals.

There didn't seem to be any reason to do so. Trump can defend his own statements.

Ergo this is why you jumped to racism before he could say anything?

Your point?

Do you know what anecdotal evidence is?

Of course it's political, but that's beside the point.

No it is part of the point. Unamericanism has been used for decades for socialists of all stripes. He used it against Sanders but suddenly it is racist because the target changes?
