Unpacking Donald Trump's controversial Tweet

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Did you read the OP? Or is denial something that you coveted?
How does anyone really know? People can't just assume it's racist without thinking about context.

The reality is it might have been , or it might not of been.

How many times have people wanted to say to somebody on their back to the point of irritation to go back to where they came from?

It could be just an outburst. The only one who really knows is Trump. For people just to assume it only looks that way is just disingenuous. Look at his policies, not his words Imv.

I had a bizarre discussion about that with a very pro-Trump friend.
I said that Trump's many outrageous insults work against him.
Let's call him Bob (his real name is Brian, but we'll keep that confidential.)
Bob said that he agrees with Trump, & that because he's President, he
knows more than we do. So Trump is doing the right thing by pi$$ing off
the left. Bob also agrees with the insults, eg, "go back where you came from".

It seems that Trump can do no wrong, but works in mysterious ways.
I'm highly skeptical of that.
Also, FWIW, I loathe the "love it or leave it" attitude.

Lololol. "Trump works in mysterious ways, beyond human comprehension".

In the minds of some, tagging Trump with the label of "Racist!" is the most
powerful demonization. But I say that telling people to leave the country
(because they're not worthy to be here) is the more heinous bigotry.

I think Trump should be more careful on how he says things considering he's the President, yet with all his flaws and shortcomings, no one can't say he isnt afraid to speak his mind on things.

I think Trump has accomplished what he intended, magnify division within the Dems. And I fear that if they don't keep such enthusiasm in check, at least for now they will loose it, as did the over enthusiastic Newt Gingrich.
I can't possibly see how this stunt is going to magnify division within the Dems. If anything, it unifies them more against Trump.

They have already been unified against Trump. Its a question of getting ahead of themselves without thinking of the consequences of loosing an impeachment against him. They'd be better off convincing voters their the best choice for the future. There needs to be balance between the new enthusiastic members and the political savvy of those who can read the pitfalls,

I would say that Trump's tweet was a manifestation of his own Identity Politics, empty of anything remotely associated with substantial politics. ;)

He talked about citizenship and foreign born not race. Identity politics is about race, religion, sex, culture, social and ethnicity not nationalism, patriotism nor party politics.

It's not directly. However now the socialists are the face of the party as per the media thus could sway independents away from supported the party that platforms socialists.

There was only one foreign born in the group he referred to...

Yup. That is why I said he was talking about Omar.
While ignoring the other three natural born Americans the comments were directed at? I would say such a tweet is very unamerican. Omar is a naturalized American Citizen.

Trump is using the "unamerican" point itself as they are socialists. Socialism is against the foundations of America itself. That is why it was considered sedition before the removal of sedition laws.

LOL! The US government has been practicing socialism for quite a while now (mostly reverse socialism.) The military by definition is pure socialism.

You are confusing social programs with socialism. The military isn't socialist. Try again. *Hint the military has a hierarchy, soldiers do not own their equipment.

You do not know what socialism.
