Hi, everyone.

My mom and I are in a bad spot and we need emergency rent help. I'm disabled and not able to work due to psychological issues and my mom is 63 and works full time, supporting both of us. Her income isn't enough to cover bills, rent and basic living expenses. However, I'm going to get on SSI and that will help us out a lot, so we won't be put into this position again. I'm not the type to beg and this is our last resort, as embarrassing as it is.

We have been turned down for help from charity and public assistance for rent, so that's not an option for us. We do not have friends or family to help us or provide us with a place to stay. We have asked people we know for help and they haven't been able to. We are poor and living in a poor area.

If we get evicted, we will be homeless and lose everything. We both have severe depression and both of us are on antidepressants. I'm on a high dose and am not able to really function due to my severe depression and anxiety. I just started getting professional help for it and am at the beginning of my recovery. That's just the situation.

The back rent is $875 and October's rent is $525. Together, that's about $1,400. It is due by the end of the week or Monday, at the latest.

My mom is a very hard working woman and has worked all her life, providing for her family. She is very selfless and giving. We have fallen on hard times and are now relying on the kindness of others. If we can get help just this one time, we can put that behind us and focus on long-term solutions while still having a roof over our heads. We're not proud of having to beg like this. It breaks our hearts, but we really need help.

Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated. We do not want to burden anyone or ask for too much. But every bit counts.

I have a PayPal account and this is the page to donate money: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/send-money-online

This is the email to use: [email protected]

My deepest gratitude to the staff for allowing me to post this and to all who lend a helping you. Thank you and bless you!

Wish I could help now but I cannot. I start working soon though and I can assure you part of my first paycheck will be going to your PayPal, though don't expect much I get paid two dollars above minimum wage.

I'll donate something - but I might not get paid until after Monday.

I've sent some money. Let me know that it got there okay. I really do wish you the best, Frank. You and your mom will find a way through this.

Im sorry to hear your situation hasn't changed since your appeal last June. Did you try Luis's advice regarding Go Fund Me?

Someone helped us then. But we need help now.

Go Fund Me is a waste of time. The site takes a percentage out of all donations. Besides, if I can't get help through donations to PayPal, I'm not going to get it through Go Fund Me, either.

We've been through that before. The judge ALWAYS rules in favor of the landlords and everyone ends up with a 3 day to vacate request.

After the three day do they have to go back to court? Maybe local news could spread the word. Pretty bad publicity for the landlord. Evicting two disabled when winter is coming. I've seen local people and charities step up when they see it on tv

No, after going to court and getting the 3 day notice, the police come and kick you out.

Might as well try the news. Nothing else is working.

Or maybe, you can find the strength to go get a job dude, despite your disability. I hear you on your problems, and your paypal is favorited, but you may need to step up for both you and your mom, not asking others to step up dude.

Excuse me? You're not in my shoes and you have no idea what we're going through. "Get a job" - yeah, like that thought has never crossed my ******* mind before! Get a clue!

That was just the start of his post Frank. You're coming off pretty harsh to someone who's giving ideas. Hopefully you don't have that kind of attitude in RL.

I have a hard time believing the Catholic church would not have help for you.

Maybe you should have a little faith. I hear it can move mountains

I replied to his post before he edited it and added in the last part. I'm really angry right now and I don't need any lectures. Then he went off on me and said some **** that was downright horrible. I see that his posts were deleted.

The Church doesn't give a damn about us. The woman who heads JOIN and the guy who heads St. Vincent de Paul both hate us for whatever reason. They're not giving us anything.
