No; you go by the way a person presents themselves and assume they are whatever they look like. If you assume wrong, they will correct you; you apologize and assume they are who they say they are. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?Yeah, they run around and strip people naked and check their external biological sex. Then they perform a field DNA test and instantly know the biological sex.
It is written into the US law that you are allowed to test people like that at any time and you don't have to rely on how they look as per gender. You never ever refer to somebody based on their gender as per non-biological external clothing and so on.
In effect yopu are not a mechanic but a field biologist and that is your life to test people for their sex.

So it is not about their sex as such. It is about what they say they are in their personal understanding. That is gender.
Oh so gender has meaning now? Then explain the difference between a man vs a woman.

A man feels like a man and a women feels like a women. You can then ask them individually what that means to them.
If you define gender in a way that there is no distinction between man vs woman, yet you insist you are one but not the other...... what else do you call this?

Every society, ethnic group, and culture has gender role expectations, but they can be very different from group to group. Women in western society are generally expected to dress in typically feminine ways and be polite, accommodating, and nurturing. Men are generally expected to be strong, aggressive, and bold. Gender
