What are you doing this weekend?

how's the team after halloween? do they get wiped out also?

They are all fine because they are quite accustomed to what goes on in my house. The only incident occurred the day after the séance when the dogs started barking nonstop at the back wall of one of the bedrooms. I felt a negative presence in the room, so I smudged the entire room and the rest of the house with white oak sage and palo santo sticks and demanded that it leave my house. It followed me home after the séance, and I couldn't shake it. It left after smudging the room and the house a couple of times, and I haven't felt it since. It wasn't demonic; it was just an angry negative presence. I wasn't concerned because a negative presence will show up in my house every once in a while, and I know how to handle the situation when one does come into my house. It's never been a problem.

I shall instead spend the day trying to find a suitable warm white paint to complete the colour scheme for my sitting room, which is going to be redecorated next week, and start putting together ideas for the eulogy at my father's funeral later in the month which, as the eldest, I shall have to give.

I am sorry for your loss, exchemist. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Most of my trees don't have leaves, since most of the trees on my property are evergreens, but there are still a fair number of deciduous trees since my property is covered in trees. I don't even know how many leaves there are since I never look around on my property, except on the deck, which is unavoidable, since I have to go out and feed the raccoons.

Nothing is ever going to be addressed on this property unless I get married again, and he is a handyman and likes doing yard work, but the prospects of remarriage are not looking good right now. I could hire all the work out because I have plenty of money, but I have no motivation since I am depressed about my situation. :(

It would make more sense for me to live in a condo where everything is maintained, if I did not have so many cats, and besides, I like the privacy of living in a house that is in the country and secluded from other people.
I'm going to take a risk and be a bit cheeky now. You know, I think, if you have money, you should engage a handyman and that would stop you mixing up your need for someone to look after the fabric of the house from your wish for a romantic partner. It would not take much effort on your part, if you ask around for recommendations, and I suspect you might feel less depressed if you knew the house and garden would be kept smart and cared for.

But I do understand how, when one feels down, one finds it hard to summon the energy to break out of it. I have a policy now of "striking while the iron is lukewarm";). When I have got off my arse to do one thing, I often find I have a bit more energy for a while and I try to harness that to get something else done too, preferably something that involves some tradesman coming to the house to do stuff, so I can't procrastinate once a date is fixed. I'm on a roll at present, having just had a new central heating boiler installed. I've had to arrange for a guy to come and repair the bricks, where they made a hole for the new flue, and so I've asked him to repoint the front of the house as well - a job I was putting off. And I had new double-glazed windows put in the front room a couple of months ago, and when the guy came to paint them I asked hm to redecorate the room as well, as it has needed it for years. So now that's booked in and I can't wriggle out of it. It will be disruption for several weeks, but it's coming down the track now and will finally get done at at last.

Oddly enough, I don't normally take pictures of the animals living in my house. My children do, but I don't.

I actually haven't taken pictures much(of anything) since disposable cameras stopped being a thing.

That was quite awhile ago.

Now that I am not being pursued by texts from various con men, I have found that a good use of my iPhone is taking pictures. Other than that I rarely use it for anything.

My phone does have a camera, but it doesn't really work. It just takes blur.

I haven't had a phone that takes decent pictures in years, but it doesn't bother me much. My husband is a big picture taker; I let him handle it.
