Again, "you may receive some benefit from your belief" does not imply "you came to this belief because you calculated the benefit."

And it's doubly unconvincing to argue "they believe this because they want the reward" when they might not actually believe it; they might just be saying it because they know they'll get the reward if they do.

No am NOT interested in doing predictions, and that because I find LOSS in making predictions because I very well know that my predictions are based on nothing.

But, on the other hand I do like making guesses based on my observations and experiences. Yes, even my guesses also get untrue, but, NOT all of them.

And, of course I find PROFIT in making guesses because I think.. the more I make, the more I learn.

Just think.. why people interested in telling about their belief to others ? Perhaps they want appreciation, wow, likes etc.

Atheism is the sense that no God exists based on observing reality.

So it's the truth of the matter vs. the preferences one has.

Giving preference to something that is likely to be a "Reality" is always PROFITABLE. Preferably, because NO LOSS is expected in that.

I don't think there are such things as evil and good except as abstract philosophical concepts. Suffering is the key thing; whether you inflict suffering upon other conscious creatures.

As I researched, investigated, lived, I came to the belief that God was so huge that this small planet and everything on it was not even of notice........ so I came to the conclusion that I am not a Theist.

So I am a non-Theist, a Deist........ almost an atheist, but those bloomin' atheists won't let me join their club.

Where's the profit for me? Atheists won't let me in their club, and Theists won't let me in their club. And Deism covers such a huge variety of mindsets that most Deists could think I'm nuts as well.
