What do you think of Trump?

I'm not even religious and even I can see I he pretty well encompasses the seven deadly sins, and some more besides. He's not a good person, and not fit to lead this country anywhere good.

He's a serious threat to America and Putins puppet making him a traitor. He has no understanding about how America works and does not care. He's pooping out "executive orders" and put an evil wingnut on the National Security Council.

This below is just one example of his unfitness to be President and one more small pebble in his coming impeachment - using an insecure phone and making a tweet that shows he thinks of himself as a king who can do whatever he wants and everyone else is supposed to bow down and worship him. #resist. Total and complete #resistance.

That means the true proportion of people that voted Trump already existed in the population, the polls just didn't measure that proportion correctly.
The issue with that is is that the polls predicted more people would vote for Hillary, and that is exactly what happened, even within their own margins of error.
Just what accumulating filth are you thinking of?

.
Certainly not much since Trump has not "drained the swamp" but kept it a rich white man's club.

He is doing what he said he would do. Time will tell if results are positive. I'm with Pope in that I do pray for him just as I did for those who held the office before him.

Trump never grew beyond the 10 years of age except in the biological sense, as his speech patterns and emotional reactions make painfully clear.

He is not the cause, but the most perfected manifestation of the moral and rational suicide of the USA.

I view him as an enema. He plays filthy because he has to deal with filth. He is not perfect and can be a douche (pun intended) but he is all you have to cleanse the colon of the affliction known as the US government.
I disagree with his stance on the environment for the most part and do not like his style of talking at times but I am not complaining.

If you were to sum up what your thoughts about Trump are, what would you say? People aren't going to like me for saying this but I pray for him more than I pray for any other person. I believe He was destined to be the 45th President of the United States. He came out of nowhere politically. The chances of him becoming Republican nominee were astronomically low. All sources said that Hillary would win (I was certain she would win) and then it all hit me with a shock on election day. I Pray that He does the will of the gods.

Every post on this thread gets a thumbs up for helping me better understand who this controversial figure is.

I was never a fan of Trump. I thought he was a blowhard. Why he was made into the media's darling for so many decades previously is beyond me. The media created Trump, and now they're upset that their monster has gotten out of control.

I was surprised that he got nominated, but not shocked by it. Getting the Republican nomination was probably the bigger hurdle anyway. As for the general election, I looked at the polls and saw that Hillary was in the lead, but it was so close that it was hardly a shock to me that Trump won the election.

After the election, I saw that a lot of people were in shock, and that's what baffled me even more.

I don't know Trump personally, so I can't say for certain how he is or what he might intend to do. But as an American who has lived and worked among many people whose views are reflected in Trump, I might be able to help you understand a little something about his constituency.

Basically, they see that America was once great, but it has declined in recent decades. We were once the world's leader in industry, technology, military power, economic power. But now, many see a nation which is not what it used to be; it has deteriorated, grown weak and decrepit. Other countries are surpassing us in terms of science, industry, and technology, and America is getting left behind by a corrupt and incompetent education system. Not to mention the national debt and drowning in red ink. An endless war which should have been finished over a decade ago. What's wrong with the government? Why can't they get their act together and do stuff right for a change?

If a politician comes along and says he/she wants to reverse all that and "make America great again," then that politician would get the attention of the voters. It wouldn't matter if that politician was Trump. Anyone from either party could have said it and addressed the issues he addressed. The people want America to be great again, and they may not care how it actually gets done. That's where it gets controversial, since some people care about how we do things, while others are only concerned with results. The old argument over the ends justifying the means (or not).

So, all of this will end up hinging more upon the results and how it all turns out. If America becomes great again, then at least that would be something to celebrate. If not, then the voters will probably send Trump packing in four years.

He's a petty, reckless, dictatorial authoritarian narcissist who has no respect for democracy or law.

Oh, and I'm pretty the Gods aren't happy with him since that eagle didn't like him in that one video. The eagle is Zeus' animal and Zeus is the God of Law, Justice and Order.
