What do you think of Trump?

It still amazes me, but in a negative way, how anyone could admire or support or even consider voting for a man who has violated so many scriptural teachings in his actions, showing so little compassion towards others, making numerous racist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, and religious bigoted statements, while also talking about using carpet-bombing and nuclear weapons, etc.

I hate to write something so snarky, but I serious suggest some people need to go back and actually read their own scriptures the way they are written.

I pray for him. That doesn't mean I agree with his behavior. He badly needs the grace of God which is why I pray so much for him.

All I can say is to just look at the alternative. Hillary is just as bad as he is, if not worse.

There were other alternatives, plus there simply is no such equivalency between what Trump did and what Hillary did.

If you don't believe me, list what Hillary supposedly did that was illegal or a violation of basic morality, and then I'll add a list of what Trump did and said, and let's see how they compare. Interested?

I'm sure you've seen this:

I think the problem you'll run into is that a fair number of Trump supporters don't actually see the most egregious stuff that Trump has done or promised (xenophobic immigration bans, crippling the government that many people depend on, getting rid of basic protections against pollution or fraud, etc.) as problems.

Ya, and so many of them identify themselves as being evangelicals. So, between believing in and following Jesus' teachings versus believing in and following Trump's teachings that are the polar-opposite of what Jesus taught, they chose the latter.

Nope. I'm convinced she's worse and I don't care what you think, really.

God does not involve himself in politics.
He leaves that to us.
I wouldn't be so sure.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

This is probably true. I think a lot of voters only really care about the issues that directly affect them and their families. Unless they have family members or friends who are immigrants, they probably won't care much about an immigration ban.

I suggest he will need to repent.
The grace of God is always available, but it must be exremely difficult for such a rich narcissist
To pass through that particular needle, before he passes into the hereafter.

Your prayers could only hasten that end.

That was the argument that Kings used to support their divine right.

We since know that no one has such a divine right to rule.

Authority continues what ever happens to individual rulers.

I'm no fan of Trump, but I certainly don't want Jesus as President.
His theocratic tendencies are the least of his problems.

Maybe he's waiting for a man like you to do it.
Maybe the Lord, in His Infinite Wisdom, has decided to smite the USA. So He gave us a president who closely resembles our persona on the world stage. We are, after all, famous for greed and "alternative facts and history " and ego.

Maybe the Lord plans to "harden Trumps heart", so He can show His Glory unto the world.

Someone has to be president when Daniel 2:44 is fulfilled. :D
That is rather terrifying. Would you be grinning if New York, Tokyo, or London were leveled with a flash and tremendous explosion destroying countless lives in an instant, because, hey, there's gonna be wars going on when it happens anyways and it's a great thing it's happening because it's happening?
