What is wrong with Islam?

We don't really know what happened on Sept 2001. Do we? How can all those 6 or 9 buildings just go down like that? and without leaning right or left they just went down....
I also worked for an engineering company for 14 years. I can see why people who know nothing about physics and engineering believe in a 911 conspiracy theory. The same usually believe in a flat earth. I knew an attack was coming, I just didn't know when. It was a no-brainer. I told a friend of mine that three major attacks were coming in one day. I was wrong, there were four. Luckily the fourth one never made it to its target. I knew it was about to happen when it did and so did others. Richard Clark also told Bush an attack was coming using jet liners 3 months and then 2 weeks before. Bush knew it was coming too but what was he suppose to do?

Your graph just shows people how misled they are. I know who was behind the attacks. MUSLIMS! It was in the planning stages for 15 years before 911. My friends maid of honor isn't around to tell me about what it feels like to find yourself in a jet liner about to smack into a skyscraper!

From 0 to 100. How much do you think your government tells you the truth?

I would say 50/50. 92% of people lie at home or at work.

So we don't really know what really happened that day...Can 7 buildings actually go down like that?

The government didn't have to tell me anything! This attack was planned for 15 years before it happened! I find it absolutely repulsive that people have the nerve to say "we really don't know what happened" after 3,000 people died. People who believe in these type of conspiracy theories are the kind that tell you that the Sandy Hook shooter Adan Lanza was intentionally placed there by people who want to see gun control imposed in America. About 6 people from my state died on Sept. 11, 2001 and it wasn't the government who made them do it. The Muslims did it because THEY'RE MUSLIMS WHO HATE US!

Of course they can when you have hundreds of thousands of tons of steel and debris crashing down!

One more comment. 911 was 15 years in the planning. They've been planing the next 911 for as long. Only the next one will outdo the first. If they can kill 3,000 people they can kill 30,000 people OR MORE. Welcome to the American Hiroshima!

If you get such an un-grounded view of Islam, only seeing sensationalist sources, it's likely you'll get such a skewed view.

The UK hasn't broke from the EU. 52% of voters voted to leave. The remaining 48% of us voted to remain. If we were to retake it now, polls show we'd remain. Ah well. I dunno if we're gonna leave, see what happens in the H of C.

There's videos of Christians killing people. There's plenty of Christians killing people in the name of their faith. There are some quite substantial Christian terrorist groups operating in Central Africa and in Northeast India. It is not uncommon among such groups to invade a village, rape people as a method of intimidation, and then demand conversion to Christianity at the point of a gun. Why would anybody sensible want anything to do with Christians? That's stupid, huh?

As I say, I have plenty of Muslim friends, and not one of them supports anything even like the kind of violence you describe. It's total anathema.

It is not of the same magnitude.

The problem with Islam is its a political system pretending to be a religion. That is really backwards, here in the US you have to be a religion pretending not to be a political system.

Everything's political!

Correction: Some Muslims did it.

The difference is that Islam has been bent on terrorism since it began.

No. Sure, there's been a lot of blood shed in the history of Islaam. But so too in the history of a fair few other religions and civilisations.

Islam has NEVER stopped killing people on an hourly basis and even encourage it's followers to commit the abominations of the earth.

It's not Islaam that kills people, rather some Muslims. And what 'abominations of the Earth' are you talking about here?

In the Sudan alone between 98-99 nearly a million Christians were murdered, and another million displaced, 5,000 villages were burned, and 15,000 churches were burned.

A lot of Muslims have died and been raped and so on in Darfur at the hands of the Sudanese government and Janjaweed too..

In September 11-17, 1922 to be precise, the city of Izmir hasn’t always been called that. Before it became a Turkish city, it had been Smyrna. During that period the city was occupied by the forces of Mustafa Kemal, a.k.a. Kemal Attaturk. The Christian areas of the city were looted and torched, and the Armenians and the Greeks were driven from their homes to flee the city or be slaughtered. Of the 400,000 Christians resident in the city beforehand, virtually none remained, and more than 190,000 were never accounted for. The Archbishop Chrysostomos was among the victims, murdered at the hands of a mob while under the “protection” of French marines. The city, except for the Turkish quarter, was reduced to a smoking ruin.

Kemal Ataturk wasn't really doing these things for religious reasons, though. He sought to establish Turkey as a modern, secular nation-state after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. His philosophy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kemalism was rather at odds with the aspirations of the Islamists of present times. He banned religious interference in government affairs and generally strove for a sort of 'Westernisation' of Turkey. He was no angel, but Islaam was not what drove him.

Not everything is a basis of laws and how to implement punishment to specific crimes, specifically in regards to sharia law.

Right, but Islaam is not equivalent to Sharee'ah (much as the Islamists will tell you otherwise).

If you don't want to read Quran then don't do It, It's only a reminder. If you don't want to pray 5 times a day then don't do It, It's only a recommendation. If you don't want to read Islamic books then you don't have to do It, It's only a motivation. A motivation for you to remember The Creator.

What is wrong with Islam? Now days there is a lot of criticism about Islamic religion. Terrorist this and terrorist that. There is 0.007% chance that I am a terrorist. Life is a gamble.

I met a soldier at the gym. This is what he tolled me: "When I was in Iraq I looked at the thermometer and It was 150 degrees F, no wonder why those people are so aggressive."

Hot temperatures increase aggression by directly increasing feelings of hostility and indirectly increasing aggressive thoughts.

If you add hot weather with people coming to your nation for oil. What will the outcome be?

What can we as the USA do to make things better in the middle east as far as environmental concerns the weather the water and anything else?

Count me in the red the USA and Bush.I know I'm a conspiracy theorist. Its odd to that Bush after the attack, and after the Missionaries got ran out and in trouble with the middle east,

Bush made a speech about our country becoming aware of Christianity.

Its as if he were using the 911 attack to convert people to JEEZUS.................

Muslims are good people with a beautiful culture and language because of Muhammad and the Quran, but they need to be organised better and present a united front to people. The media has instilled all sorts of misconceptions and false notions about Islam so much so that people have become alarmingly antagonistic, hostile and negative towards a very beautiful Faith.

There is so much misinformation spread by the press that the right information about Islam is whitewashed.

What you read and see mostly on the internet is people repeating the negativeness of the media not the reality.

Muslims are a loving, peaceful people in general.

Religion and politics is intertwined in quaran more than most any religion but Islam pretty much amounts to politicized religion. They may deny it is politicized.
