Look up Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Norway and Iceland rates on there. Norway and Iceland are Christian. They also have statues. That should make it clear your hypothesis doesn't work.

We are God, pretending that we are not God, playing the cosmic game of Hide and Seek.

A wave on the ocean is itself none other than the ocean. Both are composed of the same universal stuff: water.

Likewise, man and God are both composed of the same universal stuff: consciousness, which is none other than spirit. Most do not realize they are God. Some think they are separated from God because of 'sin'. No one is ever separated from God, not even for a nano-second. When one realizes that they are God in human form, this is called divine union, the goal of all religious endeavor. In fact, God is none other than the entire Universe, manifesting Itself as The Universe, and like the wave on the ocean, we are none other than The Universe itself. But due to being lost in Identification, ie; 'I', we see ourselves as separate from The Universe, from God.
