Indeed. Good cops are a rarity. Amd that's because good cops are mistreated amd abused to put it mildly
If cops are smart & honest, they can be driven from the force.
Law enforcement is something they do to the public...not
something that anyone does to them.

A federal appeals court recently decided that a St. Paul, Minnesota, cop was shielded from a lawsuit that alleged she fabricated a witness tampering charge because she was working on a federal task force at the time, in a decision that further expands the already granted to federal law enforcement.

85-115 is the average IQ range (complete with standard deciation (+-15) in bith directions). Mild retardation starts at 70. This leaves an entire standard deviation where one isn't clinically retarded but definitely isn't very smart that I'm sure many, many cops fall within, especially if their average IQ (104) is on the mediocre side of average.
Another possible reason cops are dumb is

It's very common for ops to conduct raids on the wrong home.
They don't bother to rea their warrants or the house numbers.
Why?
Qualified immunity when they **** up. And it doesn't matter
that innocent civilians are traumatized or even killed.

He said "Solomon E Smith". Dumb cops heard
"Solomon Eastman". So they beat, repeatedly taze,
& then arrest him.
The man's mistake was to answer their questions.
He legally didn't have to ID himself or answer any
questions. Whatever you say can be mis-heard or
twisted to justify a beatdown & prosecution.
Only after the video was posted on social media
did the cops allow investigation. The top cops
still don't admit all the wrongful acts by the cops.
They claim to hold cops under them accountable...
...but only after being caught on social media.
These cops need to all spend several years in prison.

The Supreme Court must also chop it down.
Amd most definitely the media needs to start having more coverage of police brutality against non-black people, and start covering whem it happens to, white men, natives, trans, women, mentally ill, amd everybody else.
The news media give the false impression of police

Yeah, no. Those in such classes have been among those I've ran with. Many have been metalheads and juggalos and maggots (thems all **** the pigs types), strippers and drug dealers, nerds and weirdos. Cops though hasn't been a trend.
A guy I did go to school with he became a cop, he told me I was possessed by a demon when I quit Jesus amd turnes to neo-Paganism, he never grew out of it, and he seems himself as a victim because it's not ok anymore to say bad things about gays.
Lack of training on the laws they charged with
enforcing, & on civil rights is a big problem.
They simply aren't mentally equipped to handle
the responsibility given them.
